Is there a particular "root app" that is better then another? I used the suggested Droid 3 recovery to flash/install 2.0, and used root explorer to deal with the BlurEmail.akp file. Is JRummy's better? Or more like an all in one?

JRummy's Root Tools is really good for tweaking. You do have to be careful but I've now used it for changing fonts, LCD density, turning off button lights...you can do more with it but I've not done it all yet.

Currently I'm running my LCD at 220 (stock is 240) and I like it. It messes with the lock screen a bit, visually, but it still works.

Got Steel Droid running on my phone, looks awesome. I've never used a Steel Droid rom. I like the font and battery animation (I haven't played with it much yet). it took me a little while to get BlurEmail to work, but I finally got it...I will mess around with my phone today to give a REAL test drive.

I thought Koush was thr bootstrap of choice for this rom?

They're virtually the same thing but hascode's has the ability to boot into the recovery from power off through BP tools

Yeah, I was using that one. I was able to install SD with it but that was it. lIfter installing SD I couldn't flash any other zip files. Once I installed Koush's CWM all was well.

So, if you try to flash a zip after using hashcode and you're stuck at the Dual Core splash screen, pull the battery, reboot and install Koush's version. If hashcode works...let me know cause I like the idea of getting in to recovery from a power off state, I may have had the wrong version.

Can we get a new Camera app btw? The stock camera on the Droid 3 is insanely slow and lacks a lot of features. I have tried the cameras on the Market but I just want a straight camera with no effects.

I just want it to make a shutter sound and do a 6 second preview after I take a picture!
