[ROM] [RELEASE] Steel Droid: 5.0 Gingerbread - 1-11-2013

Hi
Thx for your job . but i find big probleme :

Email app dont found in liste of Apps, But I configurate My Mail normaly il My Acount App, And I recive a Email Notification But I can Open apps to read , samme probleme with Universal Mail ...
Is it a bug ar is it my phone ...
thx

I just have to begin with, do a little searching before you ask questions, I know we have all been there but this is a very common issue and the answer is easy to find…

Go back to the "Steel Droid - D3" topic and as i type this it is the very fisrt thread titled "how to add stock email support to steel droid 2.0"

I understand you probably talking about steel droid 3.0 but this will still work, I did it.

Sorry if I was blunt

trying installing using the .apk file and root explorer or a similar program

take the .apk file move it to sd card, then use the root explorer to move the file into the system/apps directory and give the .apk read right permission

reboot, profit :)

Hashcode is actually re-working Safestrap so Dev's don't need to modify their Rom's. Should be epic once he's done :)
Good to hear! Safestrap is definitely my favorite versus bootstrap. Normally I would probably have known that but have been busy so I haven't been on IRC in a while. >.>

Can't wait to see what SD4 brings.

What is the difference between safestrap and bootstrap?
Do you need a different app instead of bootstrapper?

Safestrap boots the rom from a different partition leaving your original system intact. I believe hashcode has a more indepth run down on his blog

So I just got done reading the XDA forum on safestrap, and as I understand it to be, is a way of putting a ROM on trial or a temperary basis?
More so for people who frequently switch ROMs, like for me who only uses SD, safestrap is not really something I would need.

Its a way to dual boot in a sense. You have your original /system intact and then the safestrap flashed rom. Its just a new recovery hashcode made to keep our phones safe since we have a locked bootloader and an easier way to prevent total bricks
