[ROM] [RELEASE] Steel Droid: 5.0 Gingerbread - 1-11-2013

The same as always. I know I can get high but that really high. I just look at forums all day , no phone calls and no text.

42% is in relation to total power consumed, if you didn't do much besides surf and stuff then its not really that far fetched.

I am new to this theme flashing. Does this new theme replace or add to what is already in SD3. It does not take any away what is already there, correct?
I also assume that this theme is compatible with SD3. So if I like the new theme, I can obviously keep it, unless it creates battery issues or anything.

Is my understanding above correct?

Thanks for your help.

Applying a Theme via CWM just adds a new skin to your phone in sense. You'll still be running SDv3, it'll just have a new look. It contains a few themed apps that will replace current ones you may have, and it may install a few apps that the themer included.

In order to undo a theme, all you need to do is simply re-flash the Steel Droid v3 zip file, and it will restore your system to the stock look.

Thanks a lot for your kindly explaining these. I have a better understanding about the themes now.

I read somewhere that, after flashing a new rom and wiping data, you have to restore your own applications before signing into or activating the Google/Gmail account.

Is this true? If it is, I wonder why.

Only if you wipe system before flashing.

If you wipe/data and cache, then does it means "wipe system"?

Do you know why you should bypass the google thing?

People typically wipe data/system or whatever for a fresh install, and you can choose the apps you restore. I believe if you dont restore before activating you account google will sometimes auto-restore your apps. I never hadthat happen on my D1, and ive never had to do a full wipe for my D3 yet.

You might be best asking this question in the "Droid General" section so you can get a better answer and to not clutter chevys thread.

Is it not cluttered already?

Chevy do you know when we will be able to overclock?

Nope not cluttered at all.

OT: The D3 cant be overclocked, it has a locked bootloader so we cant install a custom kernel. Only thing we might see is modulization overclocking, but idk who is working on that.
