Yes, this rom is for Droid 3 phones.

I need some help. I have motorola droid 3. I have flashed the new firmware SBF_5.6.890 and I have proceeded with the rest of the
instructions... however, when attempting to restore (my new ROM) the safestrap does not offer a "install from zip" option. And when I go
to backup and recovery option it sees the backup I made of the original but doesn't see the .zip files in there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Im confused. What exactly do you mean by "restore my new ROM"? Thats kinda contradictory, isnt it? lol
For ease of use, make sure your in Safe Mode (in SafeStrap), and flash that way. The option is there. :-D
If you dont see your zip files in the list there, it may also be because the copy process didnt complete, so your zips arent actually "there".

Have 4.6 up and running without a flaw going to mess with voice search threw blue tooth see what she does.
Is their anyway we can get the fm .apk and install areself or was it causing problems?

I only took out the FM.apk because very few people actually used it. Just saved some space.
I just installed 4.6 (after a clean wipe). It is silky smooth but I did run into a few small issues.
The official GMail app force closed on app launch. After uninstalling and reinstalling it seems to be working just fine.
The official YouTube app force closed on app launch. After uninstalling and reinstalling it seems to be working just fine.
The Gallery force closed when trying to launch it from the default Folder on the home screen. Removing the shortcut and adding it back made it work again.
Again very minor issues and I'm not sure if it's anything you can do about it (could have been bad downloads) but I thought I would let you know about them.

Hello, love the ROM so far, just having difficulty getting the universal inbox & back up assistant to work. My email notifications are coming through, but I do not see the universal inbox icon in my app drawer. I have followed some other suggestions on here on how to fix it, but am not having any luck finding a good link to the BlurEmail.apk they suggest using. I also cannot move any apps to the /system/app dir I get a message that tells me the dir is "read only" and I cannot seem to change the permissions to the dir using root explorer. I am running Steel Droid 3 ver 4.6. Installed with Safestrap. All addons that I have installed have worked with the exception of Universal Inbox & Back up Assistant. Do you have any suggestions on getting these fixed? Thanks!
