Returned Razr today for a HTC Rezound

I would, for me it was a great phone. Fast, nice form factor, great battery life, and I liked the screen too.

Unfortunately not water proof!

I don't know if I'd call the X2 a great Moto phone...

that's why I said "arguably" :)

nobody would deny the D1, and most wouldn't deny the DX, but I know the DX2 had some issues and there's probably more of a split on that one!

Lol, fair enough, but I'd say it isn't so much of a 50/50 split as it is a 95/5, might as well just leave that one off the list...;)

I have an Incredible and will never buy another HTC phone. The updates are few and far between and often buggy when they come out. Sense is way too much of a skin and the radio is weak. I get 1-2 bars, when friends I am with, and all have Motos BTW, are getting full signal strength.

My biggest complaint however is the length of time it takes them to push out OS updates. I would be shocked if ANY HTC phone gets ICS before April.

Sent from my Droid, the only mobile OS that matters.

Good discussion comparing the Razr to the Rezound. I'm a big music fan and listener, what about the audio end of the Rezound......the Dr Dre software and in-ear headphones? Any thoughts / expereinces?

My Razor is going back tomorrow, can't stand the short battery life.

My Bionic gets 13 - 18 hours with moderate to heavy use with the extended battery. Standard battery yielded 6 - 8 hours. Let's face it, if super duper battery life is your dream, then a 4G smartphone with all that it offers is not for you. Unless of course you deactivate all features and only turn them on when needed.

Then again, there's the flip phone. :p

Have a bionic which I plan to return. Planning to get Razr. Hope that is the right decision.

HTC's radios are terrible, I was warned before buying this Pos thunderbolt but didn't listen.

I have learned my lesson and will be sticking to Motorola from now on.

Have an upgrade that I have been sitting on since June.

Was going to wait for the nexus but not going for flash again. A phone is worthless if you get terrible no reception.

Will be picking up a razr shortly.

REALLY?!?!?!? Lets be honest here, both Moto phones are plagued with the inability to hold a 4G connection.

I picked the rezound over the razr for this very reason. I have yet to drop signal, the bionic on the other hand was averaging anywhere from 4-8 times a day depending on how much i was using it. Streaming music was nearly impossible.

Edit: I loved my OG droid to the point where i cant bring myself to throw it away even though it no longer works, but the bionic/razr are so far from that pedigree its tragic.

So far it's great. I agree pico1, this phone is thicker, and heaver, especially with the extended battery. I love the fact that with Battery Info widget, battery goes by percentage, not by 10! So far today, I unplugged it at 630, did 20 mins of phone conversation, downloaded 2 apps, and checked a few e-mails. I'm at 88% yet, by this time yesterday with the Razr I was at 70% or a little less.
Also the camera The camera is soooooooo much better. Faster, better focus, color, superb in low light

It just seems to be the luck of the draw. Cuz my RAZR doesnt have the issues with connections I see posted on the net. And I've seen posts where some have left the Rezound for connection issues. As some have said ...ALL LTE phones on Verizon are having connection issues right now. I think when that person said HTC radios are terrible, they probably included phone reception too. Cuz thats one thing that Moto does do well....phone reception.

That's NOT true. I had the OG from launch day and Tbolt from launch day. My Tbolt has zero connection issues, and I go out in the middle of nowhere for work on a week in/week out basis. The signal meter in my hotel last week was weak on the phone, often at zero bars, but did not lose one call while talking for several hours and never had an issue with an internet connection. To relate to this thread, it appears HTC has the 4g radio figured out while Moto is still playing with it. Also, my battery life is a lot greater with the latest update, and it sounds like the Rezound has better battery life than the Razr, though I don't own either.

Just wanted to point out that in terms of the radio, HTC seems better for the time being, though I am sure Moto will figure it out.

FWIW The manager at the Verizon store who was trying to dissuade me from returning the bionic for the rezound said it was an issue with faulty SIM cards.

The sales associate put the same 4G sim card in the rezound which has had zero issues. The sales associate also mentioned that they were stocking less rezounds than razrs. The way I see it moto really needs to get its stuff together and end this unholy alliance with Verizon, because I don't think these are the droids anyone is looking for.
