Rock and Roll Trivia

Here's one that I think several people will get. What band sang a song about one of the Beach Boys. Here's the hint: this song came out in the 90's.

Name the Eagles bass player that I drank beer with at a bar in Hermosa Beach, California. Vulcan, you can't answer.

Here's your clue. He sang the lead in "Take it To The Limit."

And yes, I really drank beer with him.

SHOOT, I know this, American Indian descent (i think) long straight hair. A voice that'll bring the birds down from the trees. Sang my favorite Eagles song, "I Can't Tell You Why".

What was his name..... shoot.
May I phone a friend?

I'm pretty sure those are two different guys that sing those songs.

No, that would be the wrong answer. Timothy B. Schmidt did not sing take it to the limit, nor was he with the Eagles at this time.

What debut album featured a song, album name and band name all with the same name? The song was/is a big hit and still gets airtime, mostly on classic rock (is there any other?) stations.

It's probably not the answer you're looking for but there was a band called The Yellow Balloon in the 60's who pulled something like that off. But that would never be on a classic rock station..

Ohh.....I got it. Bad Company!!!!! :D

Right you are, and just to move things along his name is Randy Meisner. In 1982 we were both rooting for Milwaukee in the World Series. I had no idea who he was until he told me his name.

Here's one for ya, well it's sort of a double trivia question...

Who sang the original version of "You Really Got Me"? (if anybody answers Van Halen...)

And who is rumored (and likely did based on facts surrounding the situation) to have played lead guitar on that track?

The Kinks. Jimmy Page was rumored to play lead guitar.

yep!

i actually knew that one myself, but now my goal today (besides working...) is to find one to stump hook :)

Ok I've been a die-hard Metallica fan since I was a kid, and know some great trivia on them, but I don't know if that really falls into the same category as the rest of this, so I'm not sure if posting any Q's would be a waste of time or not!
