I was wondering (assuming that this ROM wasn't limited to rom-slot) would it be possible to flash this over our stock ROM? Or is that a no no since we have a locked bootloader and it wouldn't boot?

I wouldnt recommend flashing this over your stock rom either way. As everyone has said this is touchy and though I have been on it as a DD, not 100% DD issue yet. Personal opinion here but I would like to flash over stock rom the Eclipse 1.2.5+ builds. it is stable and yet it is 4.0.4; it is stable.

I do not know of anyway to flash over the stock system and before you try and thing, make sure you have a stock SBF file as a rope so you dont brick your phone. Wouldn't doing this defeat the purpose of having a safesystem? if you are trying to I guess (NEVER TRIED THIS) in Safestrap force toggle the Safesystem without the data backup (older versions could do this) and then flash your system to it, finally force toggle it back and you should have this done maybe? Again, I have never tried this... think i may do this now with Eclipse.... xD thanks for getting my mind going about this hahaha. Ill post back in a little.

Flashing anything over your stock ROM will likely brick your phone, possibly permanently. I think it has to do with the locked bootloader, and while I'm no expert I have read about cases where people flashed over stock and were totally boned.

I have tried to overwrite my stock system about 3 different times, with no luck. I get stuck in safestrap, every time, and had to fastboot it every time. While I think you really have to try hard to get your phone to permanently stop working, I have never heard of anyone successfully wiping the stock system with another working rom. It didn't work for me on stock ics, and I most def wouldn't recommend trying it over JB.

Right now I am on the JB stock, with a bunch of apps frozen. Everything works, except for a glitch with the shift key. Give it sometime, things will start streamlining here pretty quick.

When I switched to the 3/23 nightly, my MMS started working, so all my previous MMSs were sent out at like 11pm at night. Got back some interesting responses lol.

ADDITIONALLY, the speaker phone microphone still does not work. The speaker in speaker phone works, but the microphone gets muted for some reason.

Like others say, it WILL brick your phone. I tried it a few weeks ago and I had to re-install the stock rom via ADB and was lucky that someone posted it, its called "VRZ_XT894_6.7.2-180_DR4-16_M2-37_1FF.xml", so if you need it you can find it

All right well thank you for all the replys, and ya I thought it probably wouldn't work but I thought I would ask. And ya I'm on the latest Jelly Bean OTA so idk if I would be able to fix my phone if I bricked it since I don't think the SBF file has been released. So ill just wait and use this ROM as a DD just cause the Jelly Bean update was a little disappointing.

Couple of bugs I have found, if they haven't been posted already. Cannot enter pin from keyboard, Ok on keyboard doesn't send message, no android beam, no caps on the keyboard, Bluetooth headset doesn't work, Cox home security app doesn't save settings. Great rom though, keep it coming!

it will remove everything but there is a thread here on droidforums with explanations, you use software called RSD Lite btw, no need for ADB via this way.

GAHHHHH!!!!! Ok, so I have the newest nightly on my phone and I was thrilled that the camera was finally fixed. but then I tried playing Temple Run 2 and found that the accelerometer doesn't work. So close. Flash works for me now. And Gallery is working fine as well, no problems there. Also MMS appears to work so I can stop relying on Go SMS Pro and go back to Handcent SMS (which I'm just more used to using, I guess).

Getting much closer. Thanks to everyone that's workign on this especially Hashcode. Keep up the great work.
