[ROM] ApeX 1.2 Series for Droid X - Functionality and Performance (12/7/10)

No dice. I must note I am using launcher pro.

Strange, that makes no sense. Uninstalling updates just reverts it back to an older version (i.e. the one on /system). I asked to do this because once you install the theme, it replaces those older versions with the most recent, and themed.

But regardless, it doesn't delete the app, and shouldn't remove it from the app drawer, regardless of the launcher used.

Perhaps a full reboot of the system is needed?

My utmost apologies.

After re-reading my post about Launcher Pro, I decided to review the settings. Turns out, I, sometime in the past, decided it was a good idea to hide Market from the app drawer.

Forgive my non-issue report. Lesson learned.:banplease:

Revo is running great. I replaced all the notification icons with blue ones from droidpirate and it hasn't effected my animations or stability.

I do have one question....since installing revo this morning, I have been receiving two of every text in handcent. I assume this is somehow a product of have the blur and aosp messaging apps sitting there as well. Any thoughts?

Yeah, it is. You can hide the AOSP Mms app (I'm assuming you were using the Blur one before) with the script:

su
messaging -mot

and that'll get rid of the repeats :D

Hey guys I'm running Apex V 1.0.2.2 for my droid X

I'm looking to change to a black status bar..can anyone point me in the right direction?

also for some reason when I try to install the ReV theme it reboots and starts to install then about 3 seconds after showing android dude with the box, the android dude and an exclamation point pop up and abort the install..I've tried rebooting to clockwork recovery to install but it keeps taking me back to stock recovery..Any ideas??

So are you in a bootloop or can you boot back into android? If you do bootstrap and reboot recovery, then does it take you to clockwork or does it skip it?

Any ole black bar mod will probably work, but you may lose the transition animations.

Thanks for fast reply!

No, I'm not in a bootloop, It just continues to take me back to android after it stops installing. I have tried to reboot recovery in the droid x bootstrapper app and it just skips recovery. But noted I have not done bootstrap recovery yet

That's why it's not working ;)

You MUST bootstrap recovery first. It's the only way we have a "recovery" environment. It's not a true recovery, it just runs waaaay before any other Android stuff really starts up.

Actually, Now that I have the theme up and running I have another little question...Any other alternative lock screen sliders? I feel this one is a little laggy and I'm not so sure about the style.

Just re-installed 1.2.1 fresh from a wipe/cache using LauncherPro and it flies now. Not noticing the slowdown I was before and the Revo theme is pretty nice. Going to run this for a few days and see how stable she is. Will be trying DarkSlide 3.3 as well but it will be pretty hard to beat this new Apex if it keeps running like it has been for the last few hours...

Battery life has been excellent on this rom. I think this is my new favorite rom!!

The revolution theme does not replace the call sliders; it is still the glass. Only the lockscreen sliders are themed. Is this going to be fixed? I like consistency so this really bugs me.

Would you be willing to post your stats? I'm going on 5 hours and I'm at 50% ... started off the day with a heavy overclock and switched to ULV later.

Just wondering how mine is stacking up
