[ROM] ApeX 1.2 Series for Droid X - Functionality and Performance (12/7/10)

Just got the latest ApeX installed and running.

Is there a way to put the keyboard back to the one in the old versions of ApeX, the one that was themed after the vanilla Android one with the dark shading?

Also, I know it's nit-picky, but is there a way to disable the percentage readout on the battery meter?

I've just never cared for it, makes me more conservative about my use even though I always have a charger nearby. I prefer the warm vibe from a full-green bar encouraging me to use max brightness and leave my battery in performance mode. dancedroid

Yeah, you can extract LatinIME.apk from /system/app in the old ApeX archive. Then, put it on your sdcard and type in the terminal:

su
install LatinIME.apk

I'll have a .zip made tomorrow night that can do this automatically.

the refresh button seems smaller than the other icons. i noticed this with other icons too. is there a way i can just fix it myself, im picky, sorry.

look for mms.apk or conversations.apk or messaging.apk one of those may need to be restored.. should then allow you to do that.

When i go into my ring tones in the system settings. I can choose between "android system" and "select music" and then "use this action by default"
If i accidentally check that "use this action by default" (which did) how do i clear that flag so i can choose "select music"

reinstalling handcent would probably do it. or maybe just clear defaults for handcent.

huh! I've never noticed that. All those icons are in the Browser.apk in the res/drawable-hdpi/ folder.

I'll take another look at that too when I get home.

Installed the clock delete with the revo theme, looks even sicker. Now no more redundant notification bar clock with beautiful widgets clock on main screen.

I'm guessing if I ever decide I want that clock back I just re-install the theme correct?
