[ROM] ApeX 1.2 Series for Droid X - Functionality and Performance (12/7/10)

Uninstall the updates to market and google search if your phone gives you the option. Then yeah just flash like any other rom. And make sure you use the 1.0.2 and not.the version for the leak.

You don't have to uninstall updates to install the rom, just the theme.

I've never used TB, but I think the general consensus around here on it is that it's okay to use strictly to back up the data of your apps and you have to manually install the apps yourself.

And if you have any problems after using it I think you have to wipe/reflash the rom.

Coming from rumx leaked version and followed all instructions in both install ways but the boot animation is still from rum x

Not the boot animation, it actually replaced the M logo. That's something you'll need to fix with his toolkit or another method if you want it back to default.

I've got 2 Calendar apps, both AOSP. So I'm getting 2 calendar alerts per event. Ideas for removing one? Is there a script for that?

you can remove any system app using the uninstall script, so something along the lines of:

su
uninstall Calendar.apk

or

su
uninstall CalendarGoogle.apk

Just take a look around your /system/app/ folder to make sure what it's called.

Btw, the Calendar that ApeX comes with is the Blur one (so the widget works). It's just themed to look AOSP :D

I just renamed one to .bak in root explorer.

had two car docks and both music and musicmod also, did the same thing, renamed to .bak.

Thanks for the quick response. Worked like a charm. Had the CalendarGoogle.apk as well as the Blur one.

Great ROM BTW. Laser fast.

Guilty as charged. I wanted to remove the animated transitions and I prefer the bar style battery. I didn't realize that caused my issue.
