You should be able to update ADW from the market, though if you're running 1.2.1 or 1.0.2.2, it should already have the newest version.

if you see adw.launcher under "downloads" in the market, then you will have the option to update it when updates are released. HOWEVER, if it's in /system/app then the update may or may not succeed... in that case, you can download adw.launcher from appbrain and place it on your sdcard, then go to terminal and use fabolous's script to uninstall the original adw.launcher and reinstall the new one. just make sure you don't exist terminal emulator between uninstalling the old one and installing the new one.

adw.launcher is very hard to find in the market if you don't have it already under downloads. you can always find it in appbrain though

Not only is ADW Launcher hard to find in the market - but its impossible to find on my phone! I give up. Where is it exactly and what is the exact name? Sorry -but seriously - I am going crazy here.

Also, the Launcher.apk in system / applications -can it be deleted? Which launcher is that.

Wouldn't recommend that, it's ADW

Here's the easiest way I found to find adw, search for "ADW.Launcher Anderweb"

Should be about a page and a half worth of scrolls down.

Typing in Anderweb only gives you 31 results and ADW is probably smack dab in the middle so it shouldnt be hard to miss

Fab, I installed Nextheme and love it, but I guess the installation reinstalled the AOSP Messaging App, and kept the Blur one that I had been using.. how can I uninstall it through terminal emulator?

I ran messaging - mot and I'm guessing it worked even though it said it couldnt be found and something with the mount not being found also

yeah there's no file checking in any of the scripts, so they'll try to remove files if they're not even there.

doesn't hurt anything though, they always end up working

I think he had us uninstall the updates because he themed the marketplace himself.

Updating would just clear his theme so no I don't think we are supposed to be able to update it.

Guys, the new "update" is not an update to the app, it's an update to the store.

Going into manage applications and clearing market data WILL result in the "update". You have to click on an app first to see the related tab...

You have to put that period in between ADW and Launcher with no spaces. I emailed the dev with the suggestion to rename it in the Market to make it easier to search for....
