[ROM] [ROM] ApeX V1.4.1 for Droid X & Droid 2 - Refinement and Ease of Use (2/22/2011)

It is Froyo with a GB theme. We can't get GB on the X until motorola releases it. No one can. This is how all X roms are.

I'm sure this question is answered someplace--how much of this ROM is Gingerbread, how much is Froyo?

Sent from my DROIDX

Thanks!!
One more question: Before we install and wipe the phone, we back up the existing image. Once ROM is installed, how do we recover all our data, without reinstating the prior backup, ROM and all? In other words, we want to recover the data, but obviously keep the new ROM. Is there some sort of data recovery function separate from simply putting the entire recovery image back on the phone? None of the detailed instructions seem to mention data recovery. I assume this includes our apps, as well as other data.

Well... Google stores your contacts and stuff in your gmail account. Titanium Backup is a good way to back up apps.

I was bored yesterday so I flashed Liberty 1.5 just for fun...
I kinda liked it for a while...like 4 hours at best...
So now I flashed Apex back...and im still stuck with the Liberty boot logo instead of the mighty "M"....
I was wondering how could I get it back...im not switching roms anymore I very much like how Apex has treated me...I felt dirty switching..haha,

Yup, instead of the "M" logo then Apex...
Its "Liberty" then Apex...

U have 3 options.... either sbf, or download team black hats boot logo changer app for $0.99 in the market. Or find a bootlogo u want and write a script to install it. The boot logo app is easiest and there are a ton of different logos availb in that app

Check the links in my sig. Lots of custom bootlogos or request your own. They're set up as a flashable zip. I also have the stock logo in a zip but don't have it posted.

Using a root explorer delete the wireless tether apk from the system/ app folder and reboot. Then download it from the market, wireless tether
