I was in the fence too about switching .. but at this point I couldn't be more happy with switching .. currently I have had zero issues with Apex and it is blazing fast and just awesome right now .. just make a backup of liberty and flash apex .. you can always go back .. it can't hurt :)

I know that blurless is great, but I really like the blur calendar. I tried adding the missing files back and using the script. Everything added fine except the calendar/calendar widget. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get it back? I also tried adding the calendar apks manually and setting permissions.

SIP Calling Support?

I'm currently running Liberty GB. I got there on my Motorola Droid 2 (via Verizon pre-release / rooted / LibertyGB v0.2 / LibertyGB v0.4 path)

Before going to Apex, my question is that I noticed that SIP Calling Support is missing under the Call Settings area in LibertyGB. I'm assuming it's because of my install path using Verizon's Pre-Release of Gingerbread.

For anyone who followed this same path, as it appears there are a few, can you take a look and see if you have Internet Calling supported in Apex?

I don't want to jump over to Apex if I'm going to be in the same boat as I'm in now.

Thanks!

Ok I guess I didn't follow instructions very good. Now setttings forecloses and I can't install bootstrap off of my sd card because I can't change my settings..please help

SIP Calling Support Fail

In case anyone was wondering, I went ahead and switched over to Apex from LibertyGB (via Verizon pre-release / rooted / LibertyGB v0.2 / LibertyGB v0.4 / Apex part 1 / Part 2 path)

SIP Calling Native Support in GB is missing in this version. The settings are simply not there. Normally you should see under
Settings > Call Settings >
3 main menus: Voicemail, Other Call Settings, Internet Call Settings. The third in this list is gone when you follow the above mentioned path.

Any suggestions?

So the only thing I want in this ROM is the Blur Calendar. I tried to restore it via the restoreblur script, and it did not work. I don't miss any of the other blur besides that. Any way of putting the blur calendar back on or some help on the blur restore script?

I have been so happy with this ROM that I think I may be sticking with it for good so long as Fab continues support. Fab, I will definately donate some money to you for your continued support. This has been the most stable GB ROM I have run yet.

Hey guys I don't post on here very much but I just wanted to tell everybody especially Fab how much I freakin LOVE this ROM!!! It is so smooth and polished with excellent performance. This is exactly what I had been looking for, that sweet sweet vanilla gingerbread AOSP GOODNESS! mmmmmmm

After flashing the leaked GB on my Droid 2 a while back, I had been waiting for someone to make an AOSP rom out of it, I was going to use Liberty GB but I had been hearing that it wasn't so stable, then I heard about Apex GB so I figured I'd give it a try and now I will never look back! I can't believe this is only a BETA!

Fab - As soon as I get my next paycheck I am def sending some loot your way! I will be sticking with your roms for a while and following every update. Cant wait to see whats in the next version!

Quick question, i've noticed on all gb roms I've tried that I can't move executables/apps to the /system/xbin and run them.
Example, I've gotten ahold of tcpdump compiled for omap, moved it into /system/xbin. Ls shows it's there, chmod'd to 777, but when I attempt to run, it says not found.
I've tried running from the directory itself with. /, as well as the full path.
Any ideas? Worked fine in all my froyo roms.

I asked this same question a few posts back. I was able to restore all other blur (not that I wanted to, just trying everything I could to get calendar back) and it still didn't work. Hm..

Maybe I'll hit Fab up on Twitter. He might be able to help since I am not sure if he is monitoring this much.

Ok I'll let you ask him so I won't double ask. Just post when you find something out :)
