IF YOU'RE FLASHING LGB:
wipe data and flash GB leak, then wipe data again and flash LGB. You can flash LGB from ClockWorkMod recovery (get the zip file from the Liberty forum section) or from Liberty Toolbox (if you pay the $5 for the donate toolbox, but I don't think you can flash from the free version)

IF YOU'RE FLASHING CM7:
DO NOT flash GB leak. sbf if you're on a GB ROM, then root, then wipe data and flash CM7.
If you're still on Froyo - no sbf necessary, just wipe data and flash.

If you're on a gb rom such as liberty, zombiestomped, or apex, you must sbf first then root and then finally flash cm7. Cm7 only flashes off the stock froyo kernel. If you're already on froyo then all you need to do is just wipe data and flash cm7. It is definitely an awesome with only a couple of drawbacks such as they keyboard and usb mounting. Definitely good enough for me though to use it for a while until an official build is released. The only thing I miss from liberty is the sexy dialer from the gingercomb juiced theme, blur messaging app, and the blur battery management. Other than that cm7 is a dream come true .

Didn't want to muck up the dev thread on roots wiki with this, but I've been unable to connect using wifi since the metick1 test 3 build, does anyone have any ideas how to deal with this?
This also includes build 4 where the wifi issues were fixed.

Yes - do NOT flash CM7 from Gingerbread, it needs to be flashed over Froyo, as CM7 uses the Froyo kernel to boot.

Build 11 is out today, just now, flash it and try again - make sure you try wifi before restoring anything using titanium backup so you have a clean system to test on.

Also, wipe data/cache and format system before installing build 11.

I took the plunge with build 11. I am thrilled and impressed! So far more stable than liberty gb. But its only been a few hours. I haven't experienced any problems.

Now as for CM7 anyone else having issues with keyboard backlight and front key lights??? I'm on V.11.... never had issues with other versions
