[ROM] [BETA] CyanogenMod 7 for Droid 2

By the way, am I the only one whose battery percentage can seem wildly inconsistent at times? For example, just a little while ago, while it was off the charger it went from 67% to 50% all in one fell swoop. And then when I put it back on the charger it got up to 76%, and a minute later it was fully charged. WTF?!

Have you calibrated your battery?

Time for two basic questions:

1) How are yinz over clocking on CM7? (Will "Android Overclock" app work?)

2) How do yinz calibrate your batteries?

You can use droid overclock. I use the app quickclock advanced. It calibrates your cpu and voltage for you (it finds the min and max of your phones unique processor)
Dl the app battery calibration from the market. Follow the directions in the app (super easy). You could also wipe battery stats in recovery (under advanced)

@ tattedupboy charge phone to 100%..reboot in recovery and wipe battery stats..run phone until it dies..charge phone and you're done :)

@ldopa, thank you for all that information!

About to flash numero 50. Then wiping for good measure. Then calibrating. Then OC'ing. Then calling it a night.

This made my night, new blog from cvpcs.

In short

tl;dr

Please don't sue me! (it seems to be the “thing to do” these days >.>)

Created a device/motorola/common repo for consolidation of Motorola stuffs.

2nd-init is now kernel-neutral. Down with segregation!

Droid 2 Global will hopefully be merged shortly.

I will be re-starting my LTE merging efforts next week.

Droid X will get a GB kernel-based release soon, needs moar testing.

Droid X will get some more fixes merged soon (torch, camera, etc).

Grats on da job, Cyanogen!

Android = Serious Business O.O

I've been having the same problem since I flashed an unofficial with the "battery fix" I'll put it off the charger at 100%, it will be fine, I'll make one 3 minute phone call and it will drop to 60% and sit there for an hour while I use the GPS on the phone. Calibrated twice, and I'm to the point where I'm about to SBF.

Actually I understand the feelings about the d2...the original droid gets love for sure..but I have to add that d2 has NOT been forgotten and since a couple months ago, really have seen the big ones come our way..(imho) that is..I was at one time only jumping from liberty to fission and begged for more ULTIMATE DROID which I loved UD but hung up on deving..we droidx/and 2 and Og's as well, have damn good devices, once again (imho):-)

It's interesting. For the most part the D2 seems to be inheriting all of the progress of the DX. From cvpcs' comments there is no reason why the D2 shouldn't benefit from the enhancements he is coding. I'm currently in the process of calibrating my battery for the first time while running official-nightly-08-20-2011. So I look forward to seeing further enhancements to CM7 on our D2s.

I've gotten more than I could have ever hoped for so far imo. The rest is just icing.
