[ROM] [BETA] CyanogenMod 7 for Droid 2

Ok I'm not trying to offend anyone with the following statement, but I'm wondering if the "battery fix" in the unofficial nightlies is a placebo. My battery life hasn't changed in the least. My battery dropped 32% while I was sleeping with nothing running. That's about the same (maybe a tad worse) as before the "fix". Kejar done something similar with Liberty one time just to prove a point that battery nuts are, well, nuts. I'm just wondering if people are watching and laughing.

I'm watching, not laughing as it would be rude. I do know that there can be a battery fix as there was one for MIUI and it DID work. I sent a pm to someone at rootzwiki to see if they could develop some to try out. Just waiting to hear what he says....

I'm on the latest unofficial nightly. I unplugged at 100%, at about 0845. it's just barely after 1200 and I am down to 77%. Pretty good I think. That's about 10% every 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Much better than I was getting on the official builds. I think I could use some improvement though.

Ths is all casual use, browsing, some camera use, and tapatalk. Oc at 1.269 at custom ultra low voltage. Auto brightness with no brightness tweaks.

Now all I need is netflix working with the battery fix, and maybe some improved battery life, and I'd be running my d2 at optimum!

You're also on wifi which uses little battery.

CM74DX

Good point gonna do a 24h test wifi off completely. but I do always drop down to 19 from 39 percent in a moment. even if I calibrate the battery. any insite on that would be appreciated if anyone has ran into this.

If I had wifi, id be on all day as well. Unfortunately, I'm not blessed with it at the moment. 3g eats my phone alive, nom nom.

I love liquids roms...I think the battery is slightly better, especially when I first apply a fresh flash..But as I go through the next day it pretty much goes on average..lol

You know the way I see it, we want a fast rom right? And stable as possible, tweaked out and modded like crazy fast and customizable..So cm7 comes out.. now we have it but the battery isn't really too good..However, it just seems that the extra juice saved is being utilized in these extra customizations we love, so I really wonder, if the battery get better, will we lose any other awesomeness?? Lol Just a thought...

Ooops, what I meant was, by gaining more juice, will we possibly lose any performance or extra settings and tweaks? If, by the way it makes a difference..I know there is a way somehow to get everything we want. But hell, we will want more and more and I quess that's just technology love! Lol
