For more info on calibrating your battery, it is requesting that you do it AFTER you have just flashed a new ROM or something over the existing ROM. So step by step...
- Get Battery Calibration app
- Charge to 100%
- Flash or re-flash ROM
- Charge to 100% again without break (make sure all apps and everything else has restored itself and everything has settled down before going for 100% charged)
- Take it off the charger
- Hit Battery Calibration button on the app
- Run down to 0% (or till it turns itself off)
- Recharge it WITHOUT turning the phone back on (what I mean by this is... when your phone is dead, put it on the charger and do not touch it at all... do not power it up WHILE it is charging)
- Once it has fully charged to 100% turn it on
- Test it out by using your phone the way you normally do and see how long it takes to get down to 30%
Advice: Just don't let it hit 20% or lower. That typically is not good for the battery regardless.
