[ROM] [BETA] CyanogenMod 7 for Droid 2

I put CM7 back on my phone yesterday, and I lost 40% with no use, sitting overnight. CM7 battery life is terrible.

Idk, it depends on the day for me. The first couple days I was on it, battery life was amazing. I'd be at 60-70% when I went to bed, and usually I'm at like 20-30% with other ROMs. Lately though, it has been lacking. Last night I was at 18% at the end of the night. I don't really have too many extremely high or low usage days either. Most days are moderate use, so battery life should be comparable between different days.

Full format, clear data, wipe cache, clear battery stats... with latest build. Phone sat on my desk for 2 hours and lost about 20%. Considering going back to Liberty. I love CM7, but I have had the worst luck with battery life.

I installed rev's nightly for 7/5 last night. made sure I was fully charged before installing, and kept it plugged in throughout. Cleared battery stats before booting up. Now my phone stayed plugged in all night. So this morning, browsing and some texting, down to 95% in 45 minutes. that it's better than I had before.

I'm on the 7/4 build, and it's terrible. I'm not sure where I'm going from here.

Can anyone tell me what bugs are still popping up with this? Also, I am currently running a rooted FROYO with no ROM. Will all I need to do is do a wipe and install this. Thanks for the help. dancedroid

Bugs:

USB must be plugged/unplugged/plugged to work
alt-lock button doesn't work, but hitting alt twice works as alt-lock
built-in live wallpapers don't work, but market live wallpapers do

as far as I know, that about covers it.

For installing - since you are on Froyo, all you need to do is be rooted, install clockworkMod recovery via Droid 2 bootstrap, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache (also format system and wipe Dalvik cache are recommended, but not 100% required,) then flash the ROM.

Once you are on CM7, don't use Droid 2 Bootstrap anymore. To get to recovery press and hold power button, select reboot, then select reboot recovery.

I think I've covered just about everything :D

I'm still on 6/29 nightly, but I'll probably flash a newer one either tonight or tomorrow

I've been on every build since 6/29, including 7/4 and none have been terrible for me. What's wrong with yours?

I lost 40% last night while it was completely inactive on my night table. I have to charge it twice daily.

I loose at least 40% a night and end up charging on average once every 18 to 20 hours. This is with minimal usage too because I am scared my phone will die. I have been good about flashing the new builds and installing them fresh. Before flashing to CM, I was using Liberty GB 0.8 and was easily getting 2 and a half days of charge with moderate use.
