[ROM] [BETA] CyanogenMod 7 for Droid 2

I was in the process of installing cm7 rom for the first time and i got an error when it said
updating radio...
assert failed: motorola.update_cmda_bp("/tmp/rdl
.bin", "/tmp/bp.img")
E:Error in /sdcard/update.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.

what do i do to fix this? i was using the all in 1 installer

The CM7 zip file from TheSwaggeR post?

In the ClockworkMod recovery right? and are you coming from Foyo or GB ?make sure you
- go to mounts and storage
- format system
- format data
- format cache
- mount system
 
GB, i followed swaggers post earlier cuz he said you didnt need to sbf with that way so i tried it, followed it exactly, and i have that error, and i did formatt the system, data and cache and mount system

When you renamed it was there a .zip extension at the end of the file? Make sure its not update.zip.zip? not the case...say try it agian, and or re download and rename it to update.
 
yeah it was named D2-CM7-test7.zip and i changed it to update.zip. So youre saying i should just format the system and stuff and re install the update.zip?

From the error I think the file was corrupted somehow in the download. I would re download the D2-CM7-test7.zip and name it update if you are on a windows machine .zip should be hidden
 
Hey guys. I've been off of CM7 for a few days now (ignore signature) and I was wanting to check in to see if battery life has improved any? Thanks.
