[ROM] [BETA] CyanogenMod 7 for Droid 2

I installed build 19 an hour or so ago as well. It seems stable, haven't noticed any issues yet. I tested the keyboard opening thing, and it worked fine. Too early to even speculate about battery life.

Way ahead of you buddy. That's the 1st thing I do when flashing anything. This will provide an accurate reading of battery levels, but won't fix what's draining it :(
It never hurts to do it though!

That was in reply to Andrew, he just flashed CM7 last night coming from GB, with a little assistance from me. I was making him and the others that were not aware of the situation, aware. Rather than being smart, you could offer help instead :)

Here is a good read though, I changed the back light settings and have seen an improvement http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/22620-settings-to-optimize-battery-on-cm7-last-updtd-may-8-2011/

Andrew and I pm all day. I wasn't being smart (I don't know where you got that from). I think I offer my share of help around here. If you thought that was smart, my apologies.

Thank you. I'll read it now. Much appreciated!

Edit: awesome read! I'm definitely going to give bump charging a try. The data looks promising and seems worth the time to make an attempt at replicating.

Edit2: the issue i just remembered is this: on cm turning the phone off to do a bump charge won't work because it reboots when it's plugged in. I'm unable to charge with the phone off. In that case, I wonder how those of us on this rom could take advantage of bump charging? I really wanted to try it though!

My apologies for the misunderstanding and if I was short. This article and the one posted above gave me some good insight Your battery gauge is lying to you (and it's not such a bad thing) - xda-developers

That's a great post that I hadn't seen before...thanks.

I'm still on build 10. It works fine with no noticeable bugs besides battery life. Is flashing 19 worth it at the moment?

Well I'm in the process of calibrating battery, trying to drain it now hah. I noticed my led notification light doesn't go away, its just always there

I am on 16 and find it most "stable", and it has the best reviews so far I have seen. Gonna flash 19 after school tonight after some more feed back.
