Does wifi work ok with this rom? Tried it with boot manager and it freezes and starts bootlooping. Just want to know if it's the rom or something to do with boot manager. I'm trying to get this issue resolved with gflam, but thought I would check here too. Phone rom is SS 5.4 (gingerbread) 1100 mhz mv kernel. DC 12 installed to slot 1 on boot manager app. By the way, wifi works ok on phone rom. Thanks

Changlog for DC12 says init.d support. But I don't see a folder /system/etc/init.d Should the folder already be there or must it be created to work?

Well I ran Zeps 98kickasskernel installer it created an init.d folder. I think if you need it then the folder will be created.

The market isn't restoring my apps. Every once in awhile, I notice this on some ROM. I'm definitely not blaming DC, but I don't know what's going on. I tried clearing market data/cache and rebooting with no luck. I always wipe everything even when just changing builds. This weird feels to do because I always start fresh, but I'm going to try installing over build 11. Any ideas are welcomed and appreciated.

maybe try installing just any single app from the market? then the other downloads might start.

Clearing the android-secure and dalvic cache while in recovery has helped me with this in the past.

I couldn't believe how quick my apps restored on mine...
I fired it up, signed in, turn on wifi...seemed like by the time I looked under the hood it was done...just had to tidy up and uninstall some I didn't want.
It just goes to show how different our experiences are.

Ok, since no one answered my last post, I assume wifi does work by reading your post. Now, I need to figure out why it doesn't work with boot manager. Anyone try that app yet?

It seems good, if I can get the wifi working it would be great. Gflam stays up pretty late like 4:00 in the morning where I live so hopefully he's back on soon. It's 10:47 here now.

Yeah I went about it differently from how I said, but no I realize I should have just put them in. What I did was make a zip that adds the dock/undock sounds along with the old style of the D1 dock back from the 2.0 days. The zip is in the OP I posted about it earlier but I'm not sure how many caught that. If u flash the zip it will give you the sounds and the old dock which personally I enjoy more than the clock app dock.

Hey thanks for pointing this out, I will make sure I add these .ogg files into the vendor so it overlays and gets put into the ROM by default now, thanks man. :)

you even saved me time finding the files.. :p

Noticed in DC11 when docking and undocking there was no sound even though I had the option turned on under system dock settings. A log cat showed errors indicating unable to load the sound files dock.ogg and undock.ogg. So I downloaded each from the links below and put them in /system/media/audio/ui/ setting permissions same as the other sound files.

undock sound file: Undock.ogg
dock sound file: Dock.ogg

Docking and undocking sound works fine now.

Just a heads up, these sound files also missing in build 12. No big deal I just copied them back in :)

I would love to see built into the ROM... LED notification color control, and display dimming control for different light levels since the display uses the most battery.

Thanks!

WiFi does work in the ROM the only reasons for it not working are usually a kernel issue or how it is installed and like u said it is probably boot manager. Hopefully you and gflam can figure it out.

Here is what I would recomend, boot recovery and go to the partitions menu and wip everything except your sdcard, boot, cache, data, system. Then wipe them all again followed by returning to the main recovery screen and wiping data/cache. Then reboot back into recovery and install the ROM, and Google Apps, followed by a data/cache wipe, then install ur kernel if wanted, and wipe data/cache again, followed by the reboot. Once ur phone comes on sign in and let it sync and everything and while it is doing that don't try to txt or do anything because that sometimes messes it up so after you sign in just it let it do its thing until it is done..

Deleting these files from ur sdcard won't hurt either,
.android_secure
Android
INSIDE DCIM delete 100ANDRO and .thumbnails

That should all do the trick

RE: Apps not restored.
Same with me. I ended up doing a batch restore with titanium rather than mess with it. I'm lazy I guess....but it worked perfectly.......so far.:)
