[ROM] [ROM] Droid Concepts Froyo Releases [BETA versions]

Woodyman, been running this now for 12 hours or so, so too soon to tell much.

Still nice and smooth however.

I'm also going to be testing CorCors new kernels, so I'll let you all know how that fares on this ROM.

Thanks Davros and woodyman. :cheer:

Did he update them recently? I have been using one that was originally posted in the gimpsource forum but the links have been down so I can't check anything other than the 1100MHz one I have.

That kernel running on GimpSource 3.1 gave me the best battery life I have ever had.

No they are beta right now and not listed. He's on twitter @_CorCor67

Corcors kernels will work. He uses raidzeros base as do I in my own personal kernels. I would post them but I know ext3 is broken in mine but I don't use it so I don't care.

I had CorCor's 1100MHz kernel loaded on build 7 and it was great. Just loaded it up for build 8 so we'll see how that goes.

Random question about SetCPU. When the phone boots up I never get the "SetCPU has been granted superuser permissions" Its only when I actually go into setCPU that i will get that message. Does this mean that until I physically open the program it is not doing the scaling? I know there is built in scaling, so are these two fighting over control until I open setCPU?

Do you have the check box "set on boot" checked?

Maybe try uninstalling the app and then reinstalling it? or maybe they are competing against each other i'm not on dc at the moment i went back to a backup after giving it a run yesterday

Installing setcpu right now as the built in is not doing anything ATM.

built in still isn't working unless you have Set CPU installed, but I am running fine with my Set CPU, its been giving me the notification every boot, and I just rebooted about 5 times to check. like guidot said, try uninstalling and re installing, make sure the set on boot box is checked, and when you uninstall make sure you hit forget when you remove it from the SU app, it may have gotten mis-configured when it initially gave it root, who knows.

ok i just uninstalled it, now i'm rebooting before installing again.

The superuser app asked if I wanted to upgrade to the newer version, anyone else tried that yet?

My phone grew wings and flew away once i installed this rom!!!! How do i get it back!? My gps wasnt on so i cant track it :( hellpppp

I tried to install it over DC7 with out wiping and it went into boot loop. :icon_evil:

I ended up doing a clean install in order for it to work. Oh well.

As far as Kernels, I have always had the best battery life with Slayer.

i definately know what you mean, it can be less than thrilling lol...

i wasnt trying to be a smarta** either, i hope you didnt take it that way

this really is a great rom by the way, hope you stick with it

i have a theme out for it if you are interested, and will be porting another one to the newest build soon
