[ROM] [ROM] Droid Concepts Froyo Releases [BETA versions]

Great ROM and hardly had any issues at all. Good work! Seems to be about the fastest Froyo ROM I've ran.

Anyone know of an easy way to get rid of the boot animation? I prefer a faster reboot since I do lots of ROM and kernel testing lately. Maybe some sort of tweak utility on the Market like Spare Parts but with more options?

Use root explorer to go into either /data/local or /system/media and just delete the bootanimation.zip

I noticed that when updating, if you clear Dalvik Cache while updating with ROM Manager, that you will be stuck at the Motorola screen. So I don't recommend doing it. Anyone else have that problem while using ROM manager to update from 08 to 09?

Also, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Black Market included with this ROM!!!!! Great job ecsnead69!!

Can you please incorporate more "Blacked out" goodies. I don't know how difficult it would be to constantly keep it updated though whith each ROM release.

I have had issues w/ ROM Manager and clearing the Dalvik cache. I wipe the dalvik cache when I do installs manually and have never had the issue that happens with RM.

Right now I have "blacked out" talk, miren browser, google search, and gmail if you would like for me to post the zips, they will work on any froyo rom... In the next couple weeks I also plan on doing a full "blacked out" theme, or once Woody has a finished release...

I took a look at your thread and all the goodies you have available. I guess what I was hoping for was that Woody would incorporate your "Blacked Out" theme to his final ROM and allow for updating with ROM manager so we have the most up to date theme. :) I know, I'm lazy.

That sounds like a lot of work and I don't want to speculate on his plans for the Final Release. But having the options to download on ROM manager is fantastic and really welcome, in my opinion. Thanks for the option DC team. dancedroid

1quickv6, the themed apps are in update.zips and just have to be flashed to use, takes about two minutes, but its up to you...

I never use rom manager to flash anything, I always boot into recovery and flash manually..

Oh, I know how easy it is to install your apps. I've already done that. And I certainly don't mind flashing anything via recovery.

But I do like using ROM manager and I was taken back when I noticed during the download of version .09 I had the option for a Black Market. I really liked the option to include that in my download and would love to have that ability for your other themed apps as well. I guess that is what I was suggesting.

Also, version 09 is running flawlessly on my phone so far. No bugs to report with the stock kernel and everything. Battery life is ideal and the speed and responsiveness is refreshing.

Is there a way to incorporate all of the blacked out zips into one?

RM used to let you do multiple zips at once but that disappeared a little while ago

Have you tried advanced settings? I'm sure its there. No reason for koush to take it out. Ever thought of trying RZR?

Is there a Gingerbread Theme for this ROM?

Would you like one? Maybe I could through one together real quick I have all the files.

That would be great. I was running Pete's old BB Froyo build with Gingerbread elements, then went to a couple Gingerbread ROMs, and now I've decided that a good, supported Froyo ROM is the way to go if you want reliability and real world speed. I have tried Sourcery, but I have found a couple problems with the ROM that make me uneasy, and it's not supported anymore, so it really seems like this ROM is the way to go. However, I have really grown to like the Gingerbread L&F, and I don't think I want to give that up.
