[ROM] [ROM] Droid Concepts Froyo Releases [BETA versions]

Is there a Gingerbread Theme for this ROM?

Would you like one? Maybe I could through one together real quick I have all the files.

That would be great. I was running Pete's old BB Froyo build with Gingerbread elements, then went to a couple Gingerbread ROMs, and now I've decided that a good, supported Froyo ROM is the way to go if you want reliability and real world speed. I have tried Sourcery, but I have found a couple problems with the ROM that make me uneasy, and it's not supported anymore, so it really seems like this ROM is the way to go. However, I have really grown to like the Gingerbread L&F, and I don't think I want to give that up.

Ok gimme a bit I'm extra busy with coding and what not but ill trough together a gb theme.

We have one on sourcery i could use the theme porter and get it over to dc in like 5 minutes if you wanted davros

I saw in the recommended apps by you guys, you recommend GO SMS Pro. I was wondering if ANYONE shared this problem like me. I'd Love to use GO SMS as Handcent has been very laggy for me lately, but every time I get a text message and the quick reply pop-up shows up, and I go to reply back using my Droid1's physical keyboard, auto-punctuate does not work at all. This makes it very annoying, as auto-capitalize doesn't, double spacing enters a period ".", doesn't work, etc. Anyone else have this issue? I've had it on every rom I've tried. I also have these options checked within my Droids system options...

Anyone having camera issues with this rom? Everything else seems to be working great but my camera freezes while trying to take a pic. Sometimes it saves the pic, sometimes it doesn't but it always freezes and sometimes fc. Still running build 08.

It seems to clear up when I reboot but I have had it freeze up a couple of different times. I guess maybe I need to reboot more often.

Netflix runs on Droid Concepts

I just wanted to mention that the Netflix app available here seems to work flawlessly on my phone, running DC Froyo Build 07, and my wife's non-rooted D1. We both used the "netflix-devicecheck-disabled.apk" file. I've been reading on the progress of getting Netflix running on other phones, and the success we've had seems contrary to the expected need for it to run under Gingerbread. I just read today that someone else had it running on a Froyo rom too.

Perhaps you might want to add it to the recommended apps ;)

Unfortunately, it is quite large and requires > 20 MB for installation and > 15 MB after moving to SD.

I definitely second the GB theme or even a honeycomb theme if its even possible. I'm loving this ROM, but no offense to woodyman who has done some outstanding work, but I don't think our taste in design and colors agrees at all, lol.

sweet, just installed the apk you used and I was able to log in, check my queue, and start streaming a movie. The quality could have been a little better, but Netflix is kinda hit or miss on their streaming quality to my Tivo so its not a surprise that it doesn't look awesome on a phone, over 3G.

Thank you very much for the heads up on this one.

Absolutely, glad I could help. It works best through WiFi, if that helps too. I assume the app tests your connection in determining the quality of streaming you can handle.
