[ROM] [ROM] Droid Concepts Froyo Releases [BETA versions]

With future releases there will either be an option for the full blacked out theme, or each part, but probably just a theme, because that is probably best.. market will stay separate because I know a lot of people like it so it will be available without the rest of the blacked out and vice versa

Oh, I know how easy it is to install your apps. I've already done that. And I certainly don't mind flashing anything via recovery.

But I do like using ROM manager and I was taken back when I noticed during the download of version .09 I had the option for a Black Market. I really liked the option to include that in my download and would love to have that ability for your other themed apps as well. I guess that is what I was suggesting.

Also, version 09 is running flawlessly on my phone so far. No bugs to report with the stock kernel and everything. Battery life is ideal and the speed and responsiveness is refreshing.

I don't personally use the popup, but the stock keyboard works for me, but it could be your using the wrong one, I forget in the Google Apps zip to have it remove the stock keyboard, because one keyboard gets compiled from AOSP which is in the ROM by default because you have to have a keyboard, but when you flash the Google Apps you get the Google Keyboard which has all the features we love, like the suggestions and everything, however I didn't tell it to remove the AOSP plain one so it installs the Google one and you also have the basic one.

So go into settings>keyboard> and unclick your current android keyboard, and select the other one, that should fix your problem, if it doesn't then it is probably GO SMS.

I saw in the recommended apps by you guys, you recommend GO SMS Pro. I was wondering if ANYONE shared this problem like me. I'd Love to use GO SMS as Handcent has been very laggy for me lately, but every time I get a text message and the quick reply pop-up shows up, and I go to reply back using my Droid1's physical keyboard, auto-punctuate does not work at all. This makes it very annoying, as auto-capitalize doesn't, double spacing enters a period ".", doesn't work, etc. Anyone else have this issue? I've had it on every rom I've tried. I also have these options checked within my Droids system options...

lol, well if your on the DC mailing list, you will be getting a special announcement from the DC team here shortly about some future plans and maybe some early releases.. :)

I definitely second the GB theme or even a honeycomb theme if its even possible. I'm loving this ROM, but no offense to woodyman who has done some outstanding work, but I don't think our taste in design and colors agrees at all, lol.

That is awesome. Thanks man. dancedroid

nice man, I will add it to the OP. :)

I just wanted to mention that the Netflix app available here seems to work flawlessly on my phone, running DC Froyo Build 07, and my wife's non-rooted D1. We both used the "netflix-devicecheck-disabled.apk" file. I've been reading on the progress of getting Netflix running on other phones, and the success we've had seems contrary to the expected need for it to run under Gingerbread. I just read today that someone else had it running on a Froyo rom too.

Perhaps you might want to add it to the recommended apps ;)

Unfortunately, it is quite large and requires > 20 MB for installation and > 15 MB after moving to SD.

If you can't find it in your Launcher then hit the search key and start typing messaging the app should show up and you can click on it
hit menu>go to notifications and unclick the checkbox

If it doesn't show up when your search then while the search app is open hit menu, and make sure apps are included with the search

If apps are included and it still wont find your messaging app then let me know lol.. :)

How do I disable notifications in the stock messaging app? The messaging app is missing from my programs list

Has anyone else had problems with ecsnead's black market not showing up?

I've tried clearing data before flashing (via settings) and moving it manually to no avail.

No matter anymore. I love ecsnead's work, but I found a bunched of themed ones on xda that worked for me.

Strangely enough I just noticed that Google search gives an error when opening ... something about stopped unexpectedly. :(

i do know whit snead's blacked out market, it is no longer called market it is not Black Market and it seems to not like to be flashed with anything else. . . . theres also Dark Talk

I used at least 2 or 3 previous versions of his black market which worked fine. What about flashing, it doesn't like to be flashed with anything else? You mean other than CWM or SPR? I'm using RZRecovery. I did notice in the zips (of the one that worked for me) that the directory structure is missing the /system/fonts and framework dirs, found in ensnead's zip. The apk is named "Vending.apk" in both, so that would lead me to believe this is an issue with the "Black Market" name, but if that's the case when it seems to work fine for all of you?

I've tried clearing data for everything, including all of the other GAPPS without success. I've deleted any data related to the Market, including either of the two directories I've seen for Market in /data/data; one called com.android.vending and another com.google.android.vending (older?). The only thing I'm not willing to try, until I have more time to get my phone back to the way I want it, is wiping data from within recovery.

For now, I'm more than satisfied using 00.ante's beautifully themed markets, here.

any suggestions on getting google apps to flash properly? for some reason it does not install all the apps. the market being the key one since it allows me to get maps, gmail, etc.

for some reason this only happens on my phone with roms where the gapps are in separate zip like with cyanogen. downloading the gapps zip directly with the phone seemed to work before with these other roms. but not in this case.

or if someone can provide instructions so that i combine the rom and the gapps in one zip on my own to flash at the same time, that would work for me. i understand why they are provided separately.
