[ROM] [ROM] Droid Concepts Froyo Releases [BETA versions]

where am i right now? is this real?

but really i'm just confused. i'm trying to figure out the difference between this rom and stock froyo + spare parts + setCpu + a few haphazardly themed icons.

Clearly you are easily confused. Perhaps ROMing is too advanced for your limited mind.

i like the "hate" and "negitivity" thrown on someone as soon as they disagree or point out some flaws. i genuinely am confused about this rom. i see more features on roms like cm6 that are about a half a year old. yet i see people really enjoying it. maybe i was missing something?

oh well, i guess i'll just crawl back into my troll hole and remember that criticism of any kind can/will not be tolerated and more importantly never leads to progress.

I guess there's a huge difference between constructive criticism and whining. You've yet to figure that out apparently. Enjoy the troll hole, though! :)

Ok I'm gonna stop and let our work speak for its self... but I will add the more options the slower your ROM.....

Actually, this was the most useful post of all your ramblings. You actually provided some real detail. Everything prior to this post was simply inflammatory for no good reason. If you cannot figure out the difference between the two approaches then it's best you just stop taking part in online dialogs.

Trust me, I'm new to this thread but I can guarantee you that I can be critical without being insulting:

I think the LED notification issue should get a higher priority as given it's visibility in partially working it can be annoying that it's not fully addressed yet.

See? That's an example of a constructive criticism. I provided detail. I provided context and reasoning. That helps the developers. It helps the readers understand the perspective and it does so without being a jackass.

It's a real shame people don't need to earn the right to post online.

LED issue? what issue are you having with it?

you just reminded me of this kid in preschool who got so angry he broke a pencil.

RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!

i have no time for silly pencils

LED issue? what issue are you having with it?

I pointed this out earlier and got a reply that it was on the list of things to address.

I've turned off Notifications for missed calls but no matter what I get a blue LED notification every time. The main problem there for me is two-fold:

1. I use a blue flashing notification to alert me to my girlfriend texting me (it's her favorite color) so now I can't be sure if she's trying to reach me or if I just have another useless message about a missed call. Generally these are not really missed calls as I use Simul-ring to ring all my phones and when home answer the calls on the home phone or home office phone. Ultimately I'd love an option to just ignore missed calls entirely and not report them.

2. If there was a means to just change the color of this notification I'd change it to black and I'd never see it. Not sure what the battery impact would be of a light constantly blinking or maybe to white (which I don't use for anything else).

The best thing would be for getting that check box to work. Someone else replied that I was lucky as they get no LED's of any sort to work right now.

All-in-all it's a minor situation and the ROM is running great for me with exceptional battery life and that's key to me. I don't live on my cell so having to charge it all the time for the limited use it gets is incredibly annoying. Thus this presents a great alternative.

Ah ok ya that's a stock led color, I'll see where we are on that. It would drain your battery eventually

No offense but posts of

"vanilla?! i'll be giving this whirl fer shure"
"
i'm not getting this."
"
what is this?"
"

Don't really come off as constructive criticism...

If you were confused by something, come out and ask it. Don't get all pissy when someone criticizes you for the crap you posted before you finally got to your point.

+1 I remember that post about vanilla swirl, i just don't get Jengas request for respect and the "i'm just beign a critic and my opinion matters, blah blah blah" Sure we all troll and we all hit back but seriously Jengas not all of us want to use CM with so many wonderful options, i have been back and forth on a Froyo that has been stable and working and DC was one of my favorites. I couldn't even get Ultimate to load just bootlooped and bugless has been left alone for GB. So really if you wanted to request some things or point out some wins if any or flaws sure do that but don't act like someone looking to start a fight and point out pencil breaking preschoolers, this isn't that kind of board.

I won't reply back but feel free to post your rebuttle but for now i'm here to support the Devs on their hard work and i'm not even running it currrently but i do respect their work and will follow the trail to test again.

I hope this thread doesn't become a flame fest and we keep on ROM-ing

~D
