Wow I was wondering why so much was discussed today. @jk, it's called negativity, not criticism. There's need for criticism, but no excuse for negativity. As others said, move along if you don't like it.

Know what I don't get? How you say stuff like,

i didn't say i wanted all of the features of cm. if i did, i would be using cm.
i'd like a stable froyo rom with a few key features. i'd also like it to be vanilla. that was why i was excited when woodyman (i think?) said he would be releasing his next update as vanilla. i've never been one for themes, i prefer the boring old look of stock froyo.

after making several posts about how this rom, unlike others has nothing beyond stock. First you're wrong, second you're a hippo.. wait.. DYAC.

with that being said, this isn't my rom. should have paid attention to the "BETA" right there in the thread title. but anyway, good work guys.

At least you got something right.

Hey its all good ive been doing this long enough to know everyone has their preferences. Ive even had my work called garbage by a select few. This is a fun hobby i do and thats all. So definately no offense taken im glad you took the time to give it a shot. I have considered a darker more minimilistic style theme for the future. Not quite blacked out because truly i cant contend with that one lol. But who knows ive always got something cooking

Anyone having camera issues with this rom? Everything else seems to be working great but my camera freezes while trying to take a pic. Sometimes it saves the pic, sometimes it doesn't but it always freezes and sometimes fc. Still running build 08.

It seems to clear up when I reboot but I have had it freeze up a couple of different times. I guess maybe I need to reboot more often.

Not sure if your still having the issues with you camera but I am running build 09 installed 2 days ago. Yesterday I went to use my camera and it worked flawlessly and was very snappy for the first time ever!!!! I have been having your same issues with every rom I have flashed even GB ones. I know I have flashed 10+. If your still having these issues try build 09...but if you still have them after that download FxCamera app from market...then on home screen longpress and click shortcuts....then fxcamera...then normal. It will put a camera icon on your homescreen that will link you to a more reliable camera app. Only issue is you have to click save after every pic....but hey at least it saves them without getting the perfect pic and then pooooof its gone!

I can say from experience that you can not please everyone and most GB roms over load the D1. Trying to make this small device cover the uses of pc, mp3 player, camera/camcoder and then enhance those to the point of top of the line single use devices and then, oh yeah, a phone; give me a break. I thank the devs for their work on this rom and the others. Their work has given ideas for improvements to new devices. I am a tweak freak and I my focus is always on speed and reliabilty. GB roms have lots of goodies but they suffer on reliability. This rom and davros' previous stuff just work. That's the key, when I use my D1 it works. Thanks again guys,

I loaded up build 09 2 days ago and I can second this very statement! I have spent the past few weeks on GB roms fighting for stability and battery life with no luck. Cant get either. I loaded the DC Beta and immediately saw stability again. If only I could get Titanium Backup to work id be in business...but however that is not phasing me to keep this rom...I will individually re-download every single app I had to have the reliability I have with this ROM GREAT WORK GUYS!!!!!

working here, no mods to the camera that repo is still pulling stock froyo, maybe a problem with data if you didn't wipe, or a conflicting app

OK thanks. Wiped three times before install. Could be the kernel. I have noticed that out of nowhere my phone gets very laggy and way hot on Chevy new LV 800 kernel. Usually have great luck with his though........

I had a problem with the camera on build 8 and was going to load 9 until I heard 10 was about to drop. I wiped data and cache several times and installed 10 and now the camera and video camera work great.

I am running Chevy's uLow 1200 kernel, although limited to 1100, and everything works fine. It does get a little warm sometimes but I use profiles to slow things down a bit when it gets toasty!

shouldn't be a problem, but you may have to give it permission if it was installed from market, click on the icon that shows up when you first try to sign in to google maps, and make sure you activate the permission, only thing i can think of.. :O

couldn't have said it better.. that is why Droid Concepts is keeping Froyo alive on the D1 we have no plans for upgrading the D1 to GB other phones yes, but not D1..

Awesome attitude man. Hey, I'm just curious. I really like some elements here and there, even though I'm not a gold kinda guy (prefer silver/white gold) I like the 3G icon you got there, what do you think about a black with gold highlights sort of thing, like onyx/gold? Mostly black glass sort of look with gold accents. You did a good job on the gold though. Colors/gradients are often hard to do and have it look right.

I like the notification icons (don't know if they are stock or what) seen here, square with rounded corners, gradient, b&w. They might look cool with gold replacing white, turning into a gold embedded in black glass. Extend that to other buttons, etc. I'm not making a request for myself, just thinking it might look cool and give you somewhere to direct your gold theme.

Yea I really don't get people who are out to trash other peoples work, if someone if willing to go through all the work to make a theme and distribute it for free then I feel like you should be thankful regardless of whether you like it. And I totally am, I'm glad people are themeing this great rom and if you ever have a new theme and need some testing let me know, I'm always down to help find some bugs

-1 opinions. or valuing quality. or being honest.

i like the "hate" and "negitivity" thrown on someone as soon as they disagree or point out some flaws. i genuinely am confused about this rom. i see more features on roms like cm6 that are about a half a year old. yet i see people really enjoying it. maybe i was missing something?

oh well, i guess i'll just crawl back into my troll hole and remember that criticism of any kind can/will not be tolerated and more importantly never leads to progress.

Note this was built from source themselves. They didn't take the easy way and go " oh gee, I'll just use CM source instead. "

Obviously you don't have any idea what it is to have a life and a job and a hobby. Some people aren't trolls that sit in their basement all day building ROMs from source. If its so easy to do, do it yourself with your troll awesomeness. Maybe you can have a troll cave wallpaper.

Genghis Khan would be a perfect name for you. Heartless troll. Oh wait... it is.
