That sucks that it takes that long to reconnect everything. Handcent seems to restore pretty well with TiBu for me, but that also seems to be hit or miss these days. ADW and Launcher Pro are a pain to redo all the desktops but my settings seem to stick.

I never tried joining contacts with FB, I just changed the names of my contacts to match FB so I can't speak to that.
 
I knew I didn't like FB.

I flashed a test build last night at 10 and was back in business by 10:30.

Although the stock mms is plenty good for me.

Why do you use handcent? Not being fresh, just curious...

No problem at all. Perfectly valid question.

These days I'm wondering a bit. It's slow as hell anymore and if they don't fix it soon I will drop it. However, I like that you can customize it so much. GoSMS Pro people talk about but I found it to be nowhere near as flexible.

The stock SMS works but it's rather bland. If they simply added some themes for it I might stick with it. As it is I can barely read the conversation. In that one thing I do like the iPhone presentation and having different LED colors for each of my main contacts is really helpful. If I get a white flashing LED it's a non-priority and I get to it when I get to it. If it's a specific color I know exactly who's texting from across the room.
 
ChompSMS and GOSMS are the only ones I know of besides Handcent.

I've been using GoSMS Pro for the last couple months or so and love it! There are a few times that it has taken a while to load, but that is very rare. It may not have as much customization as handcent, but it has a lot and is much faster.

Just an update, CPU set on boot is finally fixed/finished and it is now VERIFIED as WORKING. Along with that the Extra Tweaks of DCS for saving/loading themes to the SD Card is now also finished and also working. So expect a build 11 soon that will fix those features for everyone. If there are anymore bugs please post them and let us know so we can try to get all the bugs fixed in Build 11.. :)

Running 10.5 since last night, everything seems to be doing great. It is great having the CPU settings stick on reboot, that was a PITA. Look forward to the theme from DC9.
