[ROM] [ROM] Droid Concepts Froyo Releases [BETA versions]

wow, quick responses here, liking that!! Thanks everyone and yes I think I'll prob keep the white bar for now, thanks DavidM... guessing I just flash that like any normal theme zip file?

sweet, worked like a charm, thanks again!

Another question: maybe I'm missing this setting, but in his changelog https://raw.github.com/DroidConcepts/android_android/froyo/changelog

it says in v10 the option to display batt percentage in the dropdown is present, but I don't see that option in v11. Was that removed in favor of displaying the percentage in the icon itself?

Not a big deal at all, just wondering.

I'm coming back to a froyo build after running Liquid Gingerbread for a loooong time, got tired of the quirks with GB, wanted to go back to more stable builds, so here I am. So far so good!

I coming back to Froyo after trying more than a few GB ROMS. Too many lags and freezes and slowdowns.

Installed DC11 today, loaded all my apps customized to my liking and it is running great (sofar)

Three questions (insert stupidity exclamation here)
1. I would like to try Supercharger V6 as I used it on GB ROMS. but I was reading some comments in this forum about it not running automatically on boot unless you ran another script on boot. What is that all about?

2. I have read conflicting reports about the Deprimed kernal not sticking in primed mode on boot is there a workaround?

3. In the OP the last item references Droid Concepts Settings. I have looked here and elsewhere, but can't seem to find instructions on how to install them. And, are they safe for DC11?

Finally a quirk. I run LauncherPro and have on all my ROMS. My three screens are configured exactly the same way with the same shortcuts/widgets in the same positions and Home screen as screen 2 as my previous ROMS. All screens are set to 4x4. But on DC11, on screen 1 only, I can't place an icon in Row 1 column 4. If I place an icon there, it jumps to another free space on the screen. Any widget or shortcut.

This is no biggie, just thought to pass it along.

(Jarmer: I just re-read your post and realized this isn't what you were looking for, but don't know how to delete my reply.)

Go to settings>Droid Concept settings>User Interface
and scroll down to battery and clock. You can set it to give you percentages for the battery.

Great ROM. Thanks to the Devs!

1. V6 Supercharger works fine and will run on boot. It just won't work in terminal so as long as you use script manager you're fine.

2. Deprimed won't keep customized clock rates after reboot because there is no init.d support in the ROM yet.

3. They should be in Settings > Droid Concepts Settings I think.

Couldn't have said it better myself!
-init.d support is coming and Droid Concepts Settings are included in the ROM by default no need to install anything separate.

Long time lurker , signed up on mailing list just before DC11 release and glad of it , great ROM , like others got tired of the GB ROMs and was running Pete's FRG83G stock ROM .
Great work , love all the options the ROM offers , keep it up . dancedroiddancedroid
Only thing that would make it perfect would be a Grey/Black/Android Green color theme .:greendroid::greendroid:

Still don't get the skip in other Devs ROMs , FRG38D to GB but no FRG83G , again glad to see someone carry on with the FROYO ROM .

You should be able to use Script Manager to run the 20overclock scripts on boot. You'll need to manually copy 20overclock to somewhere safe, find it with Script Manager, click on it and select the Run on Boot and Run as Root check boxes.

Script Manager is used to run the SuperCharger script for initial set up and you can use it to run the script on boot as required. Since you'll have it installed for SuperCharger you can use it for the deprimed kernel also.

Well, No 2 is a mute point. I installed deprimed and the phone would'nt even boot even though it was fine in my last 3 GB ROMs. Ii gave me an message about an error in a system process and froze. I flashed P3 kernal and it booted fine. I have a couple of ChevyNo1 and RaidZero's kernels I gonna try. Which ever one gives me best temp / perf then I'll try Supercharger.

As to item 3. I downloaded
DroidConcepts-android_packages_apps_DroidConceptsSettings-f42380a
from the OP and I have it on the phone zipped and unzipped. I have read the readme, but I can't figure out what to do with it. Do I flash it as a zip or use some tool to install the xml files? I have looked thru all the items in Droid Concepts Setting and especially thru the development tools, but I can't seem to find a clue.

Just call me clueless in Florida( but that's redundant)

Droid Concepts Settings is an app its already in the ROM there is no need to download or install anything to use it, the link in the OP is a link to the source code for the Droid Concepts Settings app.

you will find the app in the app drawer under the name 'Droid Concepts Settings' and also in the build in android settings app. Click the menu button from the home screen and click settings, then the first option is for Droid Concepts Settings.

Duh I think I got it. What I downloaded is the source for what you already built in and the options I see in the Droid Concepts Settings is the result of the installed app. Do I get a cigar?

Seriously I am glad it wasn't a bear in the woods. Thanks for your help.

Now off to MM a few notification bar icons and then try Supercharger V6. The P3 .09 kernel is running seriously well so why mess with others for now.

Two things for my wish list.
Get rid of clock in notification bar
Check box to lock a user specified app in memory

ROM is really looking great.

Is anyone having issues with Launcher Pro and v.11? I seem to be getting a lot of FC's on certain apps. I have always used LPP but now it seems to cause problems. Didn't know if it was LPP or my notification icons I morphed. The MM was done first before I set up LPP.
