Anyone have any clue how to get the latest Android Market installed? When I try to use the apk I've used before I just get Application not installed.

If you don't have this file, take it and flash in cw. Mount system first.

I updated from V0.8 to V0.9 and my keyboard began malfunctioning so badly that I downgraded back to v0.8.

First a disclaimer. I am not and I will not condone violating VZW's or any other carrier's terms of service, and if you follow these instructions, don't blame me if VZW catches you and tacks on an extra $30/mo to your bill.

You'll use this:

android-wifi-tether - Wireless Tether for Root Users - Google Project Hosting

Install it, run it and open the settings and change device profile to Motorola Droid X (CDMA.) Set up an encrypted connection.

Try it to see if it works. It probably won't. Most likely it'll forward you to some "you gotta pay for this waaa" page. Then Google this:

TBH_DX_Tether_Patch_1.0.zip

Flash that in CWM and try it again. It probably will. I only say probably because I don't use this myself. Just seen it around plenty of times.

Haha, I like the disclaimer. I am quite aware of it, thank you. But it's a corporate device and it gets paid for anyway because it's used for business. I'd rather not have any slaps on the wrist for something that can be avoided.

I just updated to Liberty and wanted to know about others experience with boot times. After flashing it took about 4-5mins to boot.

Whats the average that others are seeing ?

That's just the initial boot. All the others will take a significantly shorter amount of time.

First time it took a few minutes, but now it's way less than a minute. Probably on the order of 30-45 seconds. I turn off the 3d animation though.

No. You can also use ad free, but liberty toolbox should work fine

The free version of the Liberty Toolbox disables ads too, but I've found AdFree tends to block more of them and doesn't disrupt other apps (lookin' at you Google Music!)
