[ROM] Liberty Gingerbread

Just wanted to say, I'm loving this ROM. I was on stock 2.3.3 before, with Verizon and Motorola stuff running all the time, and my RAM was constantly spinning around 600 - 700 MB right after reboot. Now I'm sitting no higher than 80 MB, and the CPU doesn't typically hit above 5% or so unless I actually do something on the phone.

The only thing giving me trouble still is the corporate email sync, so if anyone's seen that before and resolved it, let me know. I'll probably figure it out sooner or later.

I'm definitely buying the paid Toolbox. You guys deserve pay for this.

Liberty and AOSP

What is the difference between Liberty and the AOSP Mod?

When you flash the Liberty ROM for GB does it automatically have this, or do you have to flash that separate file as well?

Not sure, but when I was running through the customizer on Liberty, it let me choose between BLUR and AOSP widgets. I guess there's at least some aspect of AOSP packaged with this version of Liberty.

Good to know, I guess I'll just have to dive in and see the difference from my self. i was just reading it is a complete ROM based off the Liberty platform.

Couple Quick Questions

Just finished flashing Liberty Gingerbread v.08 a couple days ago and it's amazing! Came over from rubiX Focused, really glad I decided to go with Liberty. Thanks to the entire Liberty team for all your hard work! I just have a couple quick questions since this is my first time on Liberty. 1) Where are the wallpapers stored? I went to make one the background in handcent and I couldn't find a folder anywhere (in rubiX, a folder installed that said rubiX wallpapers). 2) Any tips for improving battery life? Battery life is great, don't get me wrong, but I just wanted to see if there were any tweaks specific to the Liberty set up that help. Thanks guys!

Long press on the home screen for wallpaper.
For battery life, dl the app battery calibration. Calibrating the battery is a good idea whenever you flash a rom. Also you can use the app quickclock advanced to calibrate the cpu and undervolt

Thanks man! Now that I've been using the ROM a couple of days now I've noticed that I'm not getting notifications from twitter. Notifications work for Facebook and Gmail, but I have to go into the Twitter application in order to receive new tweets. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the application to see if that was causing it, but no luck. Is this a problem with Liberty that I should report in the bug thread?

You can report it. I don't use twitter so I've never noticed that issue.

Anybody else have problems with the backup assistant? Ever since I flashed 0.9, I keep getting a "Network Unavailable" error both during scheduled and manual syncs.

I'm on CM4DX right now, but I'm hoping to switch back to Liberty tomorrow, or whenever I can...however, can anyone post up the changes from v.8 and .9?

Liberty v.9 seemes a little more responsive for some reason to me and I just updated the toolbox and I like the accessibility to everything. I dont know where any themes are for this though like there was for v2.0 v2.1 froyo u know? but so far everything has been really responsive and stable.dancedroid
