[ROM] Liberty Gingerbread

With 2nd init out for our phones now, who cares? Nothing can come close to cm7 based roms at the moment so you're better off there imo. At least give it a try. I was always a die hard liberty fan (its a great rom) until I got on cm7.
No contest!

Ok I've been dying for a change ever since liberty's progress stalled out I've been keeping my eye on Cm7 but heard so many contradictions... Be honest what still does not work with CM7?

Why would I lie? Haha
I'm on a d2 and everything works fine. The only issue is battery. It sucks, but I'm telling you it's worth it. You also have the option of Liquid and miui. Both great 2nd init roms.
The dx should be about the same. The changelogs for dx/d2 are the same as well.

I was just waiting for you to confirm this for the dx people Brad. Thanks.

Well I didn't mean to imply that in a literal sence lol So your battery life lasts how long in a days time under normal use on cm7? And what about the new update .602? Does anyone know if the new baseband was or has been implemented into any roms as of yet? And how the hell do I get out of my current status unscathed? Lol. (Rooted .596 deodexed liberty GB v.9 w/ juiced theme)

I got about 7 hours per charge on the stock battery with heavy usage. With my 3500 mAh extended battery, I got 26 hours.

You can always flash a .596 based ROM over .602. That's what I am running right now.

You will have to sbf regardless if you want CM7 or .602. The only way to get the new radio to install is to be on Froyo.

If you buy the TBH app, you can flash the 2.3.340 All In One file to get back to Froyo, then CM7 or .602. No need to sbf. Also, if you decide to try CM7 and want to go to .602, you can use the TBH .602 All In One zip.

Just sbf and install the cm7 file (don't forget google apps as well)
Like brad said, you can use the tbh all in one installer that will take you from what you're on now to cm7. I would just sbf tho and do it clean.

I get about 7 hours of heavy use as well

Damn Brad I guess I invested in the wrong team eh? I purchased the tool box from liberty team awhile back lol But now you got me really wanting to try out cm7 and TBH app.. And they seem to always be on the ball.. So it would seem the easiest way to go as well.. I have yet to sbf and I have read some horror stories so I like easy..lol Thanks for the info!

Oh so tbh all in one doesn't do a clean wipe?

It wipes everything. I was on liberty. I flashed the all in one and it takes you back to froyo and installs cm7. This is the route i went, but the process is a touch different (you have to rename the file to update.zip, format everything etc..) that's why I thought it would just be easier to suggest a straight sbf and then install cm7 once on froyo. It's your choice. Either way, you won't regret it

Anytime. It's simple. You know how to sbf right? Do that, but first dl the latest nightly and google apps from the cm74dx thread. Then once sbfd,
Root
D2 bootstrap
Wipe data, cache and dalvik
Mount system (just do it)
Install cm7
Install gapps
I think the dx has a camera fix zip as well (you'll have to check. The d2 didn't need one)
Reboot
