Looks like you'll need to be on stock froyo. Liberty won't do. Youll need to sbf. See, I'm on a d2 and for us we can go from liberty 2.0.1 to gb leak to liberty gb without having to be on stock firmware rooted
But yes, step 2

Droid 2 Liberty GB v0.7

Had liberty before on 2.2, it was ok. Gave $ because I really like the active development for ROMs. Went to Apex 2.0, very very nice, Fab has great work. Now that I am on GB, I installed Liberty 0.7 and love it. I am not having any issues, and the toolbox has improved. GREAT ROM, gave more $, keep up the exceptional work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank You All!

Made an attempt at installing Liberty .7 from Nightlies. Phone is now bricked. Just the Liberty "fist" logo for several hours. PC won't see the phone, battery pull does nothing. Any suggestions?

How did you go about installing? Were you on the gb leak? (i assume so). Did you do a wipe first? Try going into stock recovery to do a factory reset? If you tried all the usual stuff to fix it then it's sbf time. You can get into the bootloader right?

Did u follow install instructions? Keep battery pulling till recovery comes up or let your phone die then charge it up till like 30% and you should be in recovery to flash backup.

I can say with a good amount of certainty that I did everything completely wrong. :frown: I flashed to .1, then tried to go to .7 via Liberty Rom Manager. This resulted in a liberty "Fist" logo that won't go away. Battery pulls (up to about 10 of them now) just result in the "fist" logo immediately coming back up on the screen. PC won't see the device when plugged in via USB. Can't get into bootloader or anything. I made attempts to go into stock recovery, but just get "fist" logo. I plan on letting the battery die and trying again tomorrow.

Patience is a virtue. Slow and steady wins the race. Yadda yadda yadda. Live and learn I guess.

Really? You can't get in the bootloader? I would try again. I know you said you did a battery pull but try plugging in while it's on the fist, then pull the battery while on and still plugged in. Unplug and insert battery and reboot. If that doesn't work to get you into cw and you can't get into stock recovery, you have to find a way into that bootloader. Power + camera+ volume down I believe for the dx.

Question, so this is GB .6, where/how do I get .7? :s Just spent a good portion of the night SBF'ing from liberty 1.5 -- > stock --> OTA --> GB.6

Thanks!

Since going to v7, Droid Overclock app doesn't recognize the phone is rooted. Battery calibration app did the same thing. Over Clock Advanced app doesn't recognize the module. And pulldown text doesn't usually stick after a reboot. Any help?
