[ROM] Lithium Mod - Source built awesomeness! Themes galore!

someone earlier has suggested changing fonts to the stock droid, or smaller fonts and it seemed to realign their answer button. maybe it'd work for other misaligned things too?
whats up with the colors? lol

Is there any place I can download the default fonts to fix the call slider?

I've never used anything other than the default fonts, so I don't know exactly, but I thought you could do it from the 'Absolute System' app which comes in Lithium Mod, or if you run the su allinone command from a terminal to run the allinone scripts there, they have the fonts option (option 3) in there. There should be a way to see what your current font is and a method to revert back to the default one.

Standard issues others are having I am having but still love this ROM. Only other issue I am having that might not be this ROM just the P3 125-1000 kernal I am using is that the phone takes a good 3 rings for it to even show up on screen. I have my SetCPU Screen Off profile set to 125-125 like some others have suggested. I believe that is the issue but the next step up is 400 min so I might switch to Chevy to get the 250 min. Am I correct in assuming this is a kernal issue and not Lithium? Thanks.

Either one works. Absolute Systems Lith Mod Edition is pretty easy to use, and it gives you previews of the fonts as you're scrolling through...

P3droid does have 250-1000mHz as well, see here: P3Droid Kernels

...but you might want to try messing with your advanced settings in SetCPU mine are at 32,000, 93, 0, 0, Set on Boot and I run the P3Droid 125-1000mHz kernel, and it seems to recover from standby pretty quickly. Go to here: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/hacking-faqs/47871-overclocking-101-a.html

..and see if you can learn how to set your SetCPU to work optimally. Mine used to have issues with coming out of standby lag, but it does not have problems anymore. Some of it has to do with the JIT or something adapting and the phone should get faster with time, but some has to do with other things. But go read that thread and he explains how you can diagnose what is causing the lag. There are tools like System Panel you can use to help figure out what is going on.

I don't even know if my phone has that delay like you describe showing the caller ID (I'll have to pay more attn), but in every other form, the wake-up lag is all gone now.

i connect to exchange just fine.

Interesting. I'm not sure why mine won't connect? I use the same settings and everything. Pisses me off because I really like this ROM but I need my work email and contacts.

What app does it use for Exchange? Is it some corporate email app? I'd try to figure out what app it is, and if it's installed in /system/app I'd uninstall it and then re-install that apk again, or find another version if that one just wont ever work.

I don't use Exchange at my current job so I don't know much about connecting Android to Exchange, but I'm just offering some basic suggestion based on my experience when I've had problems with certain system installed apps not working. I usually would just uninstall the broken app, and then go find a newer version of that app or even just try re-installing the same version I removed just for kicks, and sometimes that will fix the problem.

Way back when, with the JRummy Kangerade, there were issues with the system installed program: Maps.apk working right and the solution was to uninstall it from system, and then go into the Market and install it from there and it would then install it to /data/app or something like that and it would fix the update problem.

i agree. i had a little bit of an issue with my exchange account (TD Exch) and i uninstalled and reinstalled, and it worked fine. also, have you tried "fix permissions" from allinone/Absol Sys? whenever i'm having an issue, that's usually my first step. i don't know if it has anything to do with your phone not recognizing exchange settings, but it might be worth a shot...

also, if your work exchange account is that important, i highly recommend Touchdown.

That's awesome mate. I'll take a look. I did set the setCPU to screen off at 125-400 and I am not having the issue anymore so it is definately the kernal not working for me by default. I will play around with setCPU to get it to work well for me. Thanks alot. They need a rep system here...

I am still seeing issues with my GPS. I am running the blue theme, not sure if that has anything to do with it. I have reverted back to a backup i had then did a wipe cache/data and reinstalled and still seeing issues.

Seems that it is locating me farther north then i am and is not even within the range of where i should be. It is not like it is putting me a couple of miles away but close to a mile. Even when i turn GPS on it still does not fix the issue. Anybody else seeing these issues, i may try later to revert back to a backup where i know it worked and check to make sure it is not my phone.

Try downloading the app GPS Status form the market and run it. This fixed my location problems a few roms back. It will recalibrate your GPS. Mine gets a fix much quicker now and more exact. Hope this helps.......

So i downloaded that app, but doesn't seem to be working for me. Get a constant status like it is updating or trying to do something. Compass portion is functioning properly, just not the GPS.

Well i have tried everything i can think of and it still does not work properly. I have tried dialing *228 and doing option 1 and 2. Tried uninstalling maps and reinstalling with no affect. Tried multiple different kernals, including ones i know where it was working properly. Only thing i haven't done is reverted to stock and see what happens. may be doing that yet today and heading over to the big red and see what those idiots can tell me

Hey everyone! Been lurking here for months, first off, AWESOME forum!! This site alone is proof that Android has become a huge success for us (I'm a VZW rep in the Westchester NY area), and the other sites as well (alldroid, Droidlife, etc). I'm personally of the opinion that VZW/Google should really hire most of you amazing devs, but that's another topic lol....

Anyway, had to make my first post in here, because I have tried many ROMs from several devs (Pete's BB which is awesome btw, AdamZ, Succulent Desire, countless others) but this right here, running w/P3's 1.25 kernel, has my DROID running cheek to cheek with my gf's X (granted it's stock) even besting it at times. Amazing. Love the red, the notification panel icons, the dialer, the lock/unlock icons. In Spare Parts I set the animations/transitions to Fast, and this thing just blazes. Battery life is still great for this performance. Hats off to you sir, all the diff themes are just icing on the cake, gotta hand you the crown for now.

Off topic, but I always get a kick out of showing my coworkers my DROID, the response is always a wide-eyed "WTF is that you got on there!?!?" LOL but like I said, you guys are getting through, because many of my colleagues are rooted running some form of ROM, even mgrs lol

I don't use an app for Exchange. You just go to user accounts and add a cooperate account. For 2.1 it works flawlessly and also for Bugless Beast. But for some reason on Lithium it just won't connect. I tried going back to jrummy's 5.0.9 but it also did not work. Maybe my exchange doesn't like jrummy's format or something? I know my settings are correct because I erased the account and retried it on 2.1 to be sure. I also tried the "fix permission" and still won't work. ERRRRR! I just don't know what to think anymore. Maybe my phone isn't capable of using Lithium and Exchange at same time?

Thanks for everyone who gave me ideas. If anyone else comes up with something I'd sure be glad to try it.

Thanks again.

Did you try downloading and accepting the certificate? I know you can do it in touchdown, i don't recall if it is a setting in the default where you can check that or not. I have had issues where i had to download that first in order for the settings to take. Also if there is a accept all certificates i would check that box also.

Do you mean download a certificate on the droid or the server? Not really sure how to do either but I could look it up. Hopefully it's not super complicated. Do you know where I would get this certificate needed?

I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't find the response. Do you have the themes available to download by themselves?

Just checked by doing a quick test. The only option you got in the default add account is to check the box that says accept all SSL certificates.

On touchdown it actually gives you an option to download the certificate from the server. Basically it is what is used to verify the server you are trying to reach is a valid server. For some reason the certificate on that is on your phone may be incorrect so when it goes to connect it fails. I know i had to click it on mine for in order for it to connect.

So i finally fixed my issue using that app. I guess i just had to read the help instructions on how to re-calibrate my phone. Supposedly the trick is to rotate your phone on all 3 axis 3 times each. Once i did that it locked onto my position and now within 100 yards of where i am.
