[ROM] Lithium Mod - Source built awesomeness! Themes galore!

I am utterly disgusted to see how many time the mod had to edit this thread. The devs do this for fun and give it to us for free. It is alot of work, taking into consideration how few good modded roms are actually available. They could easily keep it all to themselves and gloat about it. You all ( particularly a certain few) should be greatful that we have devs who make these available to us FOR FREE!!!

BTW, the man is on a cruise. Don't you think that he deserves a vacation for all the hard work he does... FOR FREE!!!!

That's what I have been saying all along. :)

I just thought I would reiterate and back it up.

Twitter pages don't require a membership or subscription to view a user, so bookmark JRummy and know the situation before reacting impulsively.

I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't find the response. Do you have the themes available to download by themselves?

No. We don't separate the themes from the rom anymore because themes ported to Lithium Mod will work on only Lithium Mod. Separation of the themes makes some users attempt to install these themes on other roms (like Lithium Mod Red Glass on BB v1.1)

Also, to prevent merging of themes, we keep it all packed into a full system'ed rom to ensure proper overwriting between switching themes. This is to prevent unwanted behavior and errors.

I can't get over my battery life..like when I was running kangerade it was at best 8 hours now I don't even know how long...I get home from work at 6:30 in the morning and it had been unpluged since 11am the previous day..and I used it pretty much the whole time and the battery is at 40% wtf

You list your specs as follows:
ROM: Froyo Lithium mod
Theme: Gala (with EvoDroid statusbar and alt battery icons)
Kernel: P3Droid LV 1.25Ghz

Is that just stock? I mean, what types of settings did you adjust to get such good battery life? Do you use SetCPU? What settings/profiles did you apply in there? Do you have wifi/bluetooth/gps/google sync/etc enabled? Do you have Facebook sync enabled?

What other things did you change from stock? I'm very curious about all the tweaks you did from stock to get that kind of battery performance.

You wanna hear my somewhat unconventional strategy to having excellent battery life and great performance and ALSO maintaining a nice bright screen? I went on to eBay and bought 2 extra OEM Motorola batteries (so I have a total of 3) for around $10 /each, and then while I was there I got a USB dock which also has a separate charging cradle for batteries in it and that was around $16 and so now (for the last couple months or so) I just carry 1-2 spare batteries with me in my pocket and I don't worry about battery life, ever. Because I really love the nice bright vibrant colors that this beautiful Droid screen offers, and to me, it is such a shame to see how dull it looks when turned all dim, so that when I had started to do some price checking and realized that the batteries and chargers are too in-expensive to worry about NOT getting.

By nature, I have always felt this way about batteries. I have spare batteries for both my netbook and laptop too. My netbook gets a solid 12-14 hours battery life with 2 batteries, and I get 5-6 hours out of my big ol Thinkpad by having a spare. So naturally, it made sense to me to also have spares for my Droid, and I think it was the best investment to have spares with me at all times. I never charge them in the phone (so it doesn't get hot). I like charging in the cradle because it is the USB charge rate (slower charge), so the battery stays cooler which helps prolong its life, and it does not have a battery cover in the charge cradle so it can't blanket-in the heat during the charge cycle either. So then whenever I put in a fresh battery into the Droid, it is nice and cool and helps to cool off a hot phone after just getting done playing a long Adobe Flash video (which tends to cook the phone a bit). I still use all the conservative SetCPU profiles so it can throttle back to 125mHz when not busy, but hey when it wants the full 1000mHz, she can have her all day and I don't care.

I even liked this setup so much that I bought the same setup for my mother who also has a Droid (just as a gift) and she loves it too.

I feel the exact same way. I want the full benefits of what my display can do and I'm not going to shut everything down to squeeze every bit of battery life I can out of it. I bought a spare Moto OEM battery on amazon for $5.

I installed Lithium on my droid with the zip file install not through rom manager. Now when I try to back up current rom (Lithium), in rom manager it just reboots my Droid. I'm running the blue theme 1.0.12 blue theme. Does anyone have an ideal on how to enable rom manger to back up my lithium.

I want my little man back!

Hi I'm using lithium blue coming from kangerade in which at the bottom of the screen was a little Droid that you pushed to get tp your programs, he would also move his arms when you hit him. Anyway I can get him back easily?

Rom manager has been giving many people problems-me included. i just kept reflashing the clockworkmod recovery. i noticed that if it takes a while to flash it, it may not reboot into the recovery when wanted. that is what you are experiencing. is this a froyo problem? not sure.

if i encounter this problem (which i do from time to time using RM), i will try flashing the rom using sprecovery. but, if you really want to use CWM, then flash alternate recovery in RM, and then flash back to CWM...

im not sure if this is more browser related or rom, but my touch screen seems slow to respon to, or sometimes not at all to touched links on pages.

so i will try to click a link on a webpage and it will sometimes not register or take 3 or more clicks before the touch will register and take me to the linked url.

anyone else having this issue?

using Dolphin HD browser btw

i'm using the watermark'd lithium and my phone is running extremely hot pretty much all the time...i switched from bugless beast to try out some new things. i absolutely love the ROM but the hot running is def a deal breaker for me. any suggestions how to fix?

what kernel are you using? i tried a few kernels, and ended up using p3's 1.0 ghz kernel without any problems...

have you tried setting your profiles in set cpu? there is an "overclocking 101" thread in the forum which gives a very in-depth tutorial on overclocking.

i'm actually on p3's 1.0 kernel as well. so far my phones temp has been over 100F so far averaging at about 103F which is unusually high.
