I also noticed with the slayher 900MHz kernel and set cpu that set cpu will not stay in any other modes other than on demand. you put it in performance and it switches back to on demand. Anyone else notice this?

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. I'm tending to get away from fussing with SetCPU, however, so I didn't bother messing with it. Just thought "Hmm, that's odd" and went on to other things. tomsyco is right though, it does keep going back to on demand.

Good catch there. I can confirm those findings, no matter what you put (performance, interactive), it goes back to 'on demand'. I am running the Slayher 1GHz kernel

All i know is that my phone has never been under 30 degrees C.With this kernel the thing barely gets warm. This kernel throttles perfectly. There is something different about it. I'm curious to what is going on. You should all give it a try. It works great with no OC program.

which kernel are you referring to?? 900 or 1000? I can run the 1000 with no temp-issues, the 1100 (or 1200 for that matter) on the other hand run really hot. But, from a lot of posts I read about kernels in general, every phone handles kernels differently, i.e., what works good for you might not work for others, or the other way around. It's a trial-and-error thing really.

I'm running the build ur own kernel runs much quicker than anything I've ever had and much cooler but that chart did come from many boot loops for me but that chart in my opinion is very good runs better than anything my phone has ever seen.

Any way to get to the point I just set mine to powersave used my phone a bunch then rebooted and powersave stuck so might just be the kernel or ur version of set cpu

not ignoring you :)

I'm referring to the 900.

Ok had some testing doen i can tell you i am on the 1200 slayher clocked to 900 with interactve it holsds through a reboot also.

a person with old set cpu has no problems
2 people with the new set cpu 2.10 have similair problems
may be something with the rom if it is i know what it is.
although it appears to be a combination of the 2 since other programs are working jsut fine.

Im back at work full time all week but ill have something by this weekend. if this is not something that you cant work around let me know and ill get to it sooner

Even though it says on demand in setcpu, I did set it to interactive and then enabled compcache.
Then I went to info on setcpu and cache was being swapped and swap memory entries were being used. Meaning even though this keeps saying on demand it isn't .
Using latest setcpu and all profiles are kicking in.
On a side note and the setcpu stuff was done before the following but still working afterwards; I installed latest budybox version, 1.17.1, I think, done with stericson'app.
Smooth as silk.

Couple of reboots and I got a pic uploaded. Most would hang at 0%, and i'd have to reboot to get rid of the notification. A couple froze about halfway through. Tried one more time after I posted and it worked, go figure.

Edit.
Now that I think about it, similar thing happened uploading to dropbox. I wasn't too concerned about it and went about my business. About 20 mins later my pc flashes an updated file for dropbox (I was uploading a 500kb pic). So it froze, but eventually uploaded. Wheras facebook actually gave me a failed upload notification after about 5 mins.

I have noticed that sometimes when i send a text, it is not received. And I do not reveive all my texts. I have bounced around between Handscent, Go and stock. I am fairly certain it has nothing to do with the ROM, but just wondered if anyone else experienced this and what a fix may be.

Installed yesterday and running smoothly. I love this ROM. The only thing I noticed is that not all of the themes are consistent with the phone.apk that is used. I like to go into the Call Settings and make adjustments (like disable "Return to Call Log After Call") but some ROMs (Evolution and others) the only settings available are VM settings.

I especially like BootAnimation Surprise #1. Is the animation with the wizard from Epic Mickey? It looks very familiar to me.

I manage at the moment 15 themes so all of their apps as well as 106 framework-res.apk's so it can get a little crazy sometimes and some things may get mixed up if you can give me a few that have a different phone.apk i can fix it for you soon.

As for the phone.apk, the problem is definitely with Evolution and Gingerbread themes that I know of; I also tried Live Wire, Incinerated and Infinite Chaos but do not remember if it was with them as well. I didn't try any others yet.

I totally understand about being real busy and things falling through the cracks. You do a great job managing it. Take your time fixing, it's not a deal-breaker or brick-maker.

Thanks.
