Hahaha. Reflash the rom. Wipe cache and see if that works.

I will try that when I have the time, just curious though.. have you even rebooted your phone to see if your hard keys light up while it's booting?

Ok. Backlight came on turned off. Phone booted and backlight turned on when I hit home button. Doesn't seem to be an issue for me although I never pay attention to that when I turn my phone off/on.

I am seeing this as well... but like you said, I don't pay any attention to it til I am booted and ready to use the phone

I am having an issue with navigation not working, I get "checking navigation availability" forever when trying to use it. I have uninstalled / reinstalled Google maps, my GPS widget, done a battery pull, cleared cache, dalvik cache. I am at a loss. I had this same problem when I flashed darkslide 4.1 over 4.0 ans had to sbf back to stock then reflash. I am loving gummyjar with the water mark theme so any ideas short of SBFing back to stock and doing a fresh install would be great, but I'll do what I have to to get my phone working while looking and running this great...

Had this same problem,heres what worked for me:

Open up google maps app and go to settings. Somewhere in there is an option to erase cache; do so. Reboot phone. Try navigation again and it should fire right up

If you set up a pin lock in location & security, you'll get the slide/rotary lock screen followed by your pin lock.

I prefer this because he pattern lock removes the slide lock so I lose my quick silence and music controls.

are you following the directions for the installation for addons? mount system and choose .zip file?

Can you flash from Rubix 1.95 without wiping?

FYI... I installed it on top of Rubix 1.9.5 without wiping data/cache and seem to have no problems.

Just installed 2.5 over 2.1 and have not had any problems yet. This also restored my GPS functionality and the Rotary lockscreen is EPIC!

Did this solution work for you? Let me know because I also had the same problem and found a different way to get the navigation to work. I can post it if you need it.

Can I install this over 2.1 without loosing data?

I also have a theme , a theme modifies the system files which 2.5 goes over so everything is ok right?
