And I actually just messaged a friend on Facebook who just flashed this rom yesterday and it seems as though the same thing has happened to him.. so it looks like this "isolated incident" just gained another member.
i got it working fine. how exactly are you installing the hotspot?
No my problem is with the hard light keys. When the phone boots up the keys wont light up and they won't work until I unlock the phone (on boot) and then go to the lockscreen and unlock it again.
Then they will work fine, but if the phone is rebooted they will never work until I do that.

Hahaha. Reflash the rom. Wipe cache and see if that works.

I will try that when I have the time, just curious though.. have you even rebooted your phone to see if your hard keys light up while it's booting?

Ok. Backlight came on turned off. Phone booted and backlight turned on when I hit home button. Doesn't seem to be an issue for me although I never pay attention to that when I turn my phone off/on.

if coming from rubix, its suggested to wipe data/cache

since you're only coming from 2 versions back of gummyjar you should be ok without a wipe, nothing in kejars install states you have to wipe coming from a previous gummyjar rom. you may want to at least wipe cache. I personally always wipe everything and i have never had a single issue with this rom but that would be up to you.

Just two things.
1. Is it possible to make it so that the password/pattern screen only appears after a certain amount of time? It's annoying that I have to reinput my password every time I lock the phone. Can you insert a function that allows me to set a grace period so where if I turn the phone on again within like 15 seconds or so, its just the standard slider screen?
2. I seem to have trouble staying connected to my wireless network. I'm pretty sure its not my router, as every other piece of equipment on my wireless works fin, but sometimes it just refuses to get an ip from the router, but sometime connects and works just fine. Just wondering if this is a known issue or only for myself

Ive mounted system, installed hptspot rebooted bootsyrap again mount system flash the hack and still nothing. I dont get it. Ive followed the instructions to the tee. Any other suggestions??

are you flashing the 3g hotspot as a zip or apk? you cant take the mynet.apk and install it in the system even with correct permissions. it needs to be flashed through bootstrap as a zip file like you would a theme, mounting the system first of course. i actually do the 3g hotspot zip and 3g patch one right after the other. as soon as my phone reboots the 3g icon is in my app drawer. hope this sheds a little more light for you.
Im flashing the zip. I downloaded the one off fission rom manager and it worked fine...? I dunno:icon_eek:
Oh also clean install over 2.1 No wipe no nothing. Maybe I got lucky.

Two things...
1. The blur camera still will not work with this rom for me, tried everything. But I have vignette and this camera..just not crazy about how I have to drag the screen to zoom instead of the volume buttons.
2. Is there a way to have the rotary screen then go to a password? I don't care for the pattern screen by itself. Only gripes. Love all of your roms like usual.
