[ROM] The Eagle Has Landed!!!! - Liberty 1.0 1/11/11

OK, just installed and have a question. Every other ROM i've ever tried (including gummy) imediately after install my apps start restoring themselves from the market. This did not happen with liberty, any idea why?

They did for me, try opening the market

No luck. I tried restoring my titanium backups, but like every other X Rom i've ever tried, phone reboots.

Re-downloaded, re-wiped and re-installed. Still seeing this same issue. It's odd, there seem to be no other problems with the rom, but the apps are just not restoring from the market. Never had this problem before. Anybody have any ideas?

2nd mirror?

Anyone having issues with the second mirror download? It downloads super fast but has the same 116mb file. When I tried to install it, it just stayed at "installing update"
I am downloading from the other mirror to see if it makes a difference....until then, more battery pulls!

Gonna ask this here to a fresh set of eyes.

Most roms I run will not allow me to install the mtp interface drivers on a windows xp machine and a windows 7 pro machine.

Apex rom works just fine, as does stock. Just wondering if anyone else has this problem and if there is a real solution out there.

This happens when connecting via usb and selecting either pc mode or media sync mode.

This is preventing me from being able to use windows media player or other media programs to easily drag and drop music to my phone.

I've uninstall/reinstalled drivers, restarted about a billion times, cleared registry, used different versions of the motorola driver tools.

Thanks in advance.

not the 2nd mirror....the mac

OK, the 2nd mirror is still very fast! it was my mac unzipping it and me re-zipping it that messed up the install process....
so, for all you mac users out there and those who are downloading on your computer....in safari preferences...uncheck "open safe files" then the files works fine
probably everyone else already knew this, but just in case

Awesome Rom! Thanks for the hard work.

I'm have a problem with downloading and installing themes from the Liberty toolbox. I can download them fine, but when it reboots into recovery to install the theme I keep getting an install aborted error. I've tried with several different themes several different times. Any suggestions?

Thanks again for the great Rom!

when i turn the dialer sideways, no numbers appear
is this supposed to be this way?
Yes, this is a limit of the dialer app.
yes...... it is

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the dialer is the same one that was in Gummy 2.5, I believe there is an option (not perfect.. but meh):
Menu> Preferences> (scroll down to bottom option of "Enable sensor rotation", check it.
That will enable landscape mode of the dialer.. but no dial buttons.
BUT, if you press in the text field, a mini-dialpad pops up...

Not ideal, but better than nothing for those that use car-dock (etc.).

HTH!

Use a file manager to remove the .zip. You probably got a incomplete/corrupt download. It'll take it awhile to download, the server they have them hosted on is really lagged down last I checked.

Edit: /liberty/downloads is the file path I believe

Ok guy again for the 100th time.. the server is still getting hammered so themes may take forever to download ATM.. If while downloading a theme you begin doing something else you may corrupt your zip file.. If you have downloaded themes but they did not finish downloading correctly, go to your SDcard via file manager and delete the themes files out of the Liberty/downloads folder and try again later after things settle down.

This is also true for add-ons
