[ROM] The Eagle Has Landed!!!! - Liberty 1.0 1/11/11

Hey Guys,

Is the gingerbread keyboard working for anyone? I downloaded it and installed it and put the checkmark next to it but it still looks like I am using the Froyo keyboard?

Thoughts?

Thanks,
JVWard

PS THIS ROM IS FUKIN GREAT :)

BTW:

The gingerbread keyboard is already included, so there's really no need to download it..

Don't want to argue, but the GB keyboard is not the default upon flashing. The GB Keyboard has the numbers along the top row for long press access. The keyboard I have on fresh flash is the multi-touch from motorola.

I had to go to settings / language keyboard / then checked the box next to gb keyboard

This is so wicked awesome!!!! I have a suggestion though if possible it would be nice to see the song name under or above the controls on the lock screen so far no issues just pure awesomeness i will most certainly be supporting these devs!

Install:
make sure you have root and clockworks recovery installed
-boot into recovery via clockworks bootstrap
-select "wipe data/factory reset"
-select "Yes -- delete all data"
-go back "powerbutton"
-select "install zip from sdcard"
-select "choose zip from sdcard"
-find and select DX/D2_GummyJAR-X.X.zip
-reboot

so the file u suppose to select actually says LibertyX 1.0

hehe...just to give u a hard time...and to satisfy Inkarnet that I do read the thread ;)

only thing i found i couldn't do in this rom was set my pulldown text to nothing. deleted all the letters even tried adding blank spaces and saving and rebooting but never worked... otherwise awesome rom :)
The dropdown menu has to be exactly 16 characters...so type what you want and fill the rest with your spacebar till it hits 16

Actually you don't need to add the spaces, it will do that for you ;) Just remember to save it and reboot.

Its the contacts that is install by default.. We put it there for the people who install AOSP contacts and then decide they want the other back

Ok so by installing the ASOP and seeing what the difference is I can go back to Wy if I want to? What is the main differences? To be honest I'm not sure which one I usually use.

It may just be me, however i installed the file, transferred it over to my SD card, after i went to install it, it said the installation was aborted.

It said that i need to update .zip. I did that, went back, tried again, to no avail, the same thing happened.

It wont install Liberty for the life of me.

Im currently downloading a Mirror which is taking forever, but i reckon ill try that one and see.

Any help or suggestions?

what's the latest on the 3g throttle removal? every man for himself? flash the .zip or modify the services.jar yourself?

(awesome ROM as usual btw)
