[ROM] The Eagle Has Landed!!!! - Liberty 1.0 1/11/11

@yukmizzee I don't believe it is...only hitting 588KB/s Any chance you can get hack to work with this ROM?

Here you go, install via clockwork as you would any other .zip package.

The .zip you gave me installs fine but doesn't seem to make a difference speed using mobilespeedtest.com. Any ideas?

The throttle hack?
It only removes the throttle that's put on when you go over your soft 5gb monthly limit, and/or are in a congested area...
It also has side-effects.. like some wireless settings FC (might not be the case in Liberty)...

Already retweeted and commented to kejar and jrummy on twitter, but great job guys. I will be making some AOSP style themes soon. Including 3 titles I have named : Cherrylicious (Red / White theme) , White-out (All white(some grey)), and Carbon (Carbon Fiber theme). Will post as soon as they are ready. :)

By ASOP style do you mean, nothing extreme? I see tons of themes where it looks terrible because the creator went crazy with the theme. Simple ASOP style is the best IMO.

Good luck and themes are appreciated.

Kejar, are you adding the throttling tweak?

only thing i found i couldn't do in this rom was set my pulldown text to nothing. deleted all the letters even tried adding blank spaces and saving and rebooting but never worked... otherwise awesome rom :)
The dropdown menu has to be exactly 16 characters...so type what you want and fill the rest with your spacebar till it hits 16

I downloaded this overnight and just wanted to check that it's ok my completed download is 121.5 MB, but when I start a test download from the original links, they are 116 MB. Just wanted to make sure none of the links changed overnight.

Thanks Sephtin...just seems like when i ran this before I saw a marked increase in speed even though I wasn't near my cap. No big thing this ROM is running great!

I want to add back the blur social networking, universal inbox and blur messaging. I need the social networking to use twitter and facebook. is that possible?

Not without running a blur-based ROM...
Some suggestions:
Facebook:
Facebook for Android - Android app on AppBrain

Plume (for twitter):
Plume (Touiteur) - Android app on AppBrain

or something like tweetdeck for both:
TweetDeck (Twitter, Facebook) - Android app on AppBrain

But as far as the blur version (that's tightly integrated with like 8 blur system .apks, and framework, GL getting them running on a non-blur based ROM. :S

Simplicity... minimalistic... Not going to go overboard with graphical images. Mostly a "flat" AOSP style navigation bar, with round batt icons, for example with the cherrylicious, its going to be a dark cherry red nav bar, with white icons. I will be creating some custom wallpapers but that will be the extent of having to use photoshop heavily. I already make wallpapers so if anyone has recommendations, feel free. I've just chose to support this rom since I was going to support Gummyjar but it seems everyone is going to jump to Liberty quickly, so might as well jump over as well.

If you have seen the Black AOSP theme for Gummyjar, then that might give you some idea..

Love the ROM, keep up the great work fellas..

I just have a couple requests that are pretty minor...

For the Font change in the Liberty Toolbox it would be cool if you could see what actual font you are switching too. Maybe have the name of the font in that actual font????

Another thing that I know I love and would like to see (not sure about others) would be a clock removal mod for the notification bar. Just an idea for another mod to add to the Toolbox.

Other than those I am loving this!!!!! dancedroid

OK, just installed and have a question. Every other ROM i've ever tried (including gummy) imediately after install my apps start restoring themselves from the market. This did not happen with liberty, any idea why?

They did for me, try opening the market

Hey Guys,

Is the gingerbread keyboard working for anyone? I downloaded it and installed it and put the checkmark next to it but it still looks like I am using the Froyo keyboard?

Thoughts?

Thanks,
JVWard

PS THIS ROM IS FUKIN GREAT :)

BTW:

The gingerbread keyboard is already included, so there's really no need to download it..

Don't want to argue, but the GB keyboard is not the default upon flashing. The GB Keyboard has the numbers along the top row for long press access. The keyboard I have on fresh flash is the multi-touch from motorola.

No luck. I tried restoring my titanium backups, but like every other X Rom i've ever tried, phone reboots.
