[ROM] The Eagle Has Landed!!!! - Liberty 1.0 1/11/11

First impressions? I'm a pretty big fan of gummy jar. Will I be more impressed? I like the lightest possible ROM, and better then average battery life. With superpower and gummy jar, my batter life is terrific.

This toolbox seems like it adds a bunch of bloat (albeit some of it cool). Is this as fast and efficient as Gummy Jar 2.5?

All the "bloat" is on their servers, the toolbox will download any of the addons your heart desires, its not in the actual app itself

With the default contacts and the AOSP Contacts that I downloaded via the toolbox, the ring tones still don't work for individuals. I wish this was working. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

You could try WhoIsIt for assigning contact ringtones.

Well, I just might have too but that would be 2 bucks that I shouldn't have to spend. I would rather give the dev's of this ROM 2 bucks.

I don't understand this. Adds a bunch of bloat? How? It's essentially scripts and resources that aren't running, but just waiting for you to use them! This is just as fast, if not faster than Gummy Jar. While there is the toolbox, there are also Liberty Settings in the Settings of your phone.

Loving Liberty, faster than hell and I LOOOOVE the toolbox.

Ah, thanks for the information. I had the wrong impression of what the toolbox was. I know it's been a day, but can you report pretty good battery life?

Was at 100% when I flashed this morning. Now running GPS/Wifi and normal use (browsing, some downloads, and some games) I'm at 70% after 8 1/2 hours or so. So yeah, I'd say if the majority of the time the phone is idle then you'll have outstanding battery life.

The toolbox is amazing. Allows Apps2SD right from the menu. There is an add-on section where it has a collection of blur and aosp apps (like camera, contacts, (blur) FM Radio, etc) that you can just download and install. Has the ability to change animations all over the place, build.prop edits, fonts, and about 10 themes installed, and allows you to change the carrier text (mine says "Muska's X"). Manage ad blocker, memory clear thresholds, boot animations (including just removing it). Zipalign and mounting system Ro/Rw, all are in there.

Plus the ROM in the future will tell you when you need to update!

Excellent, excellent work from @davekover (theme), @jrummy16, @kejar31!!

when i turn the dialer sideways, no numbers appear
is this supposed to be this way?

yes...... it is

Can't you just press where the digits normally display? A keyboard should pop up unless that is a Cytown Phone app feature.

I cant get past the liberty boot just sits there?

man sat there for a decent amount of time. Almost made a post about it. It got through eventually. Then got to the lockscreen, then rebooted and stayed there again for a while. Now I'm in and good to go. no wipe needed (gummyjar 2.5)

Probably a stupid question... where is the toolbox? I don't see it in the app drawer, the menu or in settings...

mines been just sitting there for hours now.

quick note...trying to add Facebook to my accounts. When I click it, it just reverts back to showing only my google acct. FWIW, I have 2 facebook widgets running on other screens...could that be the issue?

.... I'd probably be a bit worried then. You tried a battery pull? How do you know it's not frozen? Is it bootloop or just sitting there?

The fact that you're seeing the animation means it got loaded. Battery pull and try again.
