It is amazing to have 200 megs free when opening up task killer instead of the usual 50-80 megs free.. Is there anyway to change the icons on the bottom? I would like for it to be Phone, Apps, and SMS instead of Browser. I dont need the browser enough to justify its placement there.

Also where is a good place to get icon sets? I hate the Go SMS icon...

As an aside, I would recommend against using a task killer in the first place. They typically do more harm than good.

Agreed, I've read many articles on the subject and the short version is the apps you use are cached purposely and the phone manages memory very effectively to include killing tasks itself as needed to open whatever it is you want to run. Task killers make the phone relearn your apps and they open right back up after you kill them. Like teaching an infant to speak then whacking it on the head every time it starts to speak. You are all years beyond windows mobile folks....stop giving the task killer people your money for the placebo they are selling. Oh and I know the Verizon reps say use them.....they know less about droid phones than my dog from my experience.

If you're using the stock Launcher2 that comes with Liberty, I think there are hacks to do it, but my recommendation is simply to use a launcher from the market like ADW.Launcher or Launcher Pro. They both allow this, along with a TON of customization....

Just read through a bunch of pages.. is HDMI out disabled with this?

It also sounds likje real hdmi also will not work with it either. If HDMI is crippled, I'll have to pass on this, as we are using it a lot when browsing our phones now watching it on our flatscreen.

Hi I have a DROID 2 GLOBAL, I installed the liberty ROM ok! looks excelent and it is realy fast, but i can't turn off the AIRPLANE MODE!!! And I don 't have signal to recive or make a call!

If I try to turn off the AIRPLAIN MODE, the system try for a few seconds and the return tu AIRPLANE MODE ON!

Please if some body can give one or two hands! THANKS

You shouldn't have flashed a droid x/droid 2 rom for your droid 2 global. This is why you can't turn off "airplane mode". Fission 2.4.3 is the only currently available rom for the droid 2 global. If you can boot into recovery/bootstrap then I would try installing the Fission rom made for your phone. If not, sbf is probably best.

Camera / Gallery Issue.

I am using Blur Camera and 3D Gallery. When in Blur camera and you select the picture in camera, it doesn't go to specific picture. It goes to ALL pictures and you have to go to the very end.

I'm pretty sure this issue exists with the Blur camera on any ROM that has framework that's not based on Blur. Existed on Focused, and Fission, and Gummy......

My best suggestion is to try the AOSP camera... the only thing you lose from the Blur camera is their 6MP Widescreen (which is nothing more than a cropped 8MP pic anyway), and panorama assist... Oh, and camcorder doesn't have control of which mics it uses (different modes).

If you're not happy with the AOSP camera, then... enjoy the Blur camera and the issues that blur brings along with it.

I had titanium backup installed on my phone when i installed liberty , would that help me get my contacts back? I upgraded to pro version but still says only 1 app at a time . There are several files that pertain to contacts so are these not obtainable?

Best suggestion I have, is get the contacts sync'd into Google Contacts, and not have to worry about them if you ever change ROMs again. Most ROMs don't use BackUp Assistant (BUA), and Phone contacts seem to cause issues with AOSP (at least, some people have reported on Focused before)...

How do I get my backup assistant and VVM back?

BUA might work, but I highly suggest you save yourself the headaches in the future, and just migrate those contacts over to Google Contacts:

VVM is in the market. Search for "Visual Voice Mail", and pick the one that's from Verizon!

you could also sign up for google voice as well for vocie mail as well, i believe too. instead of having to pay verizon for the service.

Because it's already been downloaded and the toolbox sees that and it reboots to install. Now you just have to select it in Setting>Language & Keyboard. Maker sure you have it selected.

As I did that, the app downloads were in my active download bar, however when i clicked it asked me if i wanted to download. Perhaps I found a glitch, i had to give permitions twice more before any apps even updates would download
