why doesnt my camera take pictures in widescreen anymore?
The camera included with Liberty is the AOSP camera. Which has setting to take 8MP pics...
All the widescreen pic is, is an 8MP pic, cropped on top and bottom (down to 6MP) to fit the screen. 6MP Wide is actually a downgrade from 8MP. Why you'd really really want it, is beyond me. :S
BUT, if you do, there is an option to replace the camera with the Blur version in the toolbox.
That is true I miss the true widescreen pics. I love this rom, like it is the best, but the camera borders could use some help. Or no borders at all. The camera on rumm rx was awesome please put on next update.

"True Widescreen".. just crop your 8MP pics down, and you have "true widescreen".
Install the camera from the toolbox to get the Blur Camera if you like.
RummRX was based on blur framework... and included blur camera by default. Due to Liberty not having blur framework, there are a couple minor issues that come with the blur camera, including when you select to go to gallery to view a pic, it sometimes takes you to the gallery and you have to scroll over and sleect the pic, rather than taking you directly to the pic...
Also, on both blur, and non-blur frameworks (this includes stock...), the blur camera has known issues, such as when deleting a pic from preview mode from within the camera app (as apposed to from within the gallery itself...) It can potentially cause the index to become corrupted.. which leads to all pics in the gallery being black, or not showing up in gallery at all, etc.
It's kind of rare, but has been directly attributed to the Blur camera being the cause...
The AOSP camera does not suffer from these issues.. and other than the cropped 8MP pic (your wide screen pics), no panorama assist, and not being able to select mics from camcorder.. the AOSP camera has all of the functionality of the Blur camera...
My 2c on the subject at least...
Edit:
Blur camera makes the ASOP one look like a child's toy.....use it properly, could take a week to learn.....
I'll agree to disagree. Every bit of functionality in the Blur camera is in the AOSP camera, except the 3 things I previously mentioned. If AOSP is like a toy, then Blur is like a broken toy...
