Anyone else had issues not being able to boot into recovery after flashing liberty 1.5 using romerv6? I could open up the app and click on reboot recovery, but after the boot logo it would just sit a a blank screen until I did a battery pull. I remember buryboi saying that after flashing apex or maybe gummyjar he couldn't get back into recovery but I hadn't heard of this issue with liberty.
I'm not sure why that would happen, because I had been running liberty on my d2g since the night the romerv2 came out, and I could boot into recovery at will.

Try it again, i can get into it without problems.... only time Ive not been able to was on apex.
Make sure to click on Bootstrap Recovery before rebooting.

Ok, thanks for the quick response. I will try in a minute. As far as I can remember, I did not click on bootstrap recovery after installing liberty the first time I was running it, and I could get to recovery fine.
And you're using the romerv6? do you still have to install the sensors.zip after the romertool to disable the sensors? because I did that too but when my phone rebooted the first time, the sensors were enabled. That's when I realized I couldn't get back into recovery. I was going to run the file again to disable the sensors but wouldn't let me in.

Yes i am and no, because sensors are disabled by default on v5 and v6.
And, if your not already, use the D2Bootstrapper. The Liberty Toolbox Reboot option doesn't always play nice with the D2G for some reason.
You cant flash back to Fission from Liberty (or any other D2 Rom) because Fission is only "half" a rom. It doesn't include any lib files or bin files. Basically, because we had no SBF, Fission only flashed frameworks and Apps.
To get back, you'll need to restore a nandroid, or SBF.
And just fyi, for anybody that hasn't had to do it...yet, SBF isn't as bad as I once thought (back in the Droid 1 days). Takes less than 25 minutes to go from hosed back to where you were as long as you have a nandroid on hand.

Yeah, I had used a nandroid backup of fission to return and it was fine. Going back to liberty gave me issues though.
This is my first Droid and my first experience with the sbf was last night. Let's just say I think my thoughts on that process are about what yours were back in the droid 1 days lol. I had issues!! it got to 99% and then failed at trying to put the phone into BP pass through mode. That happened about 3 times as I was looking for answers. Finally found a post that helped me get through it, but not before being stuck at the bootloader screen that says corrupt code for about an hour or so :icon_eek:. Talk about scared... and a big sigh of relief when I finally say my home screen againdancedroid
that being said, my first experience with RSDlite and sbf was rough, and I will be nervous if I have to do it again...but I think it will work without any hiccups if I do ever have to do it again. It was a driver issue of some sort. I had to ultimately borrow my wife's d2g battery and when it got to 99% and was attempting to put the phone into BP mode, I had to update the driver for my motorola and BAM, it worked. I don't know if I had to do it that way because it probably would have been fine if I just installed it before attempting to use RSDlite. I thought I had the latest drivers but I guess I didn't.
Oh yeah, and I am back on liberty 1.5 using romerv6, and I can get into recovery... thanks all.

Glad you are fixed! Make sure to make nandroid backups (I have a stock, a fission and a workingish liberty)
I got stock, fission, gummyjar, and liberty 1.0 and 1.5.... always make sure you have nandroids of whatever you like just in case.
