[ROM] Zen-MIUI v2 Android 2.2 + MIUI

I plan on continuing to work on it. There has been a lot of great work done by a lot of people and I hope they continue to contribute. I'll leave you with a few examples of my feelings on this nature.

Jamezelle helped fix v1 and rereleased it as v2 not jamezelle miui. Giving back to you guys and keeping the name. In turn he got full credit. We've beeen friends for a long time. Way before droid fourms was made. That's respect and the way it should be.

If I take ss or ud and swap some things around and post with out asking do is that right?

I wanted a community rom. I specifally asked for help. Tried to give creditd to inspire more help. Offered to give access to zen-droid google code. I've worked with people from all over the world by hacking on android. I love it. But if this is how I'm going to be treated then I'm done if not I will continue.

Basically this is my rom. If I had not have put up v1 you guys wouldn't be here.

So if people keep taking it and making their own threads in other forums there is no point for me to have a forum here.

So give back to zen-miui. There are enough people here to put out new roms every couple days.

Last I looked, this is NOT your ROM. If it belongs to anyone, it belongs to the devs at MIUI.

Hope you continue to develop it...truly. But it seems you're a bit more concerned about the credit than the community you claim to favor.

Personally just a "I plan on continue to work on this and hope other will continue to contribute to a ROM that is for the community" would suffice. The rest of the drama could have been left out.

I agree, the original ROM is from the Developers of MIUI, which this is based on.

So, I say lets stop all the talk, get back to building so I have something to do all day like reloading the ROMS and leave the rest of this in the past!

I think what zen means is that he brought the rom to this community and should stay in his section. he doesn mean he owns it. its like taking BB rom and make a few changes then put it in somenes section and take full credit for it. I think its fair enough to keep it in this section and give credits to whom ever worked on it. Lets get going people. Im drooling for another update dancedroid:icon_ banana:dancedroid

Yep, the rom should be updated and downloaded from here only, from what I read into this morning.

He did praise and give credit to Zen. I think MetOne was more recpetive to where people wanted this to go. And for that, he must have been raking in the donations.

Zen made it happen, MO just ran with it and catered to everyone's request.
I've checked Zens site as far as :Downloads - zen-droid - Project Hosting on Google Code

No updates since 09/30/2010. That could be why he's not getting the attention Mo is getting in the hitz dept in his section. But this is for the community, not for $.

If I am not mistaken wasn't this original port of MIUI based on and heavily worked on by Cyanogen? the original V1 and V2 had cyanogen's boot animation. Wouldn't that mean this whole mess should be under the Cyanogen forum? This whole business of ROM cooking is based on other people's work from the beginning. Everyone just builds on someone's work and that is what makes it all better. The highest form of flattery is imitation.

Its my rom like ss is chevys rom. Its not like you can go download it from miui.com they don't support the droid. And its not like you can drag and drop frameworks and apps on top of stock 2.2 and have it work.

Any one that does a rom out of this needs part of my rom to make it work.

Dude you are mistaken. Cyanogen had nothing to do with my port besides me using his bin xbin and other core parts.

I would have used the stock 2.2 as a base if I had it handy. And my v1 port had the stock android boot animation. Jamezelle threw in the cm bootanimation for v2

Bin xbin etc are common parts of every droid rom.
