And even though it is a seperate file and install... it is stiill intergrated with the rom because it integrates with the rom! It might as well be one file to be honest... I know exactly what this dude is talking about with wanting to get rid of it and hes correct...
I guess I see what you're saying, but the scripts aren't necessary, I mean I put scripts from an LG Ally on here cause of a few features I liked. The scripts do integrate nicely, but they aren't necessarily a part of the rom.
Not to be argumentative
just a warning from my recent experience on 1.7
INSTALL BOTH PARTS lol
last night, I finally decided to make the jump from ZS 1.65 (which had been running great for me), and I decided that I didn't want to mess with theming or customization, so I figured I would just install the ROM (part 1). It ran solid for a few hours, even right up until I went to sleep and put it in my desk dock. During the night, I heard the phone keep vibrating, so I rolled over to find it in a bootloop. It would go through the bootanimation for about 30 seconds, and then get to my lock screen, but I could never unlock the phone. It would keep repeating said process over and over, so I did a battery pull and reboot, but the same thing continued to happen. I couldn't boot into the bootstrap recovery, only stock, so I ended up having to flash the 2.3.2 sbf through RSD lite, and then perform a factory reset back to stock 2.2 through the stock recovery.
I'm not sure if the issue would've happened if I hadn't used my dock (which launches the clock app), but I can only assume the issue was my own fault, and that it wouldn't have happened if I had just followed directions, and installed both parts like the original post had said.
Just thought I'd pass my story along in case anyone was considering installing just part 1, DON'T lol.
Thanks again to all the devs for their great work, and everyone on the forum for their helpful info and tutorials. Without them, I'd probably still be looking at my D2 in a bootloop lol.
