[HACKS] Root Droid 1 - regardless of OS version

Other than getting another card, there isn't much to do. You can't mount the card in sprecovery right? That's all I can think of unless you sbf 2.0.1 back on there. Search sbf to root and unroot in this forum. I'm not sure I can't be any more help.

Yes that is correct. I will try to sbf 2.0.1 I suppose.

Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.

How would you do that without access to the card? You'd need a new one then right?

I think I got a couple of posts confused when I said kernel issue. It does sound like your SD card is fried. Try the wife's and see if it works. If it does then you need a new SD card, simple as that. If not you have a major hardware fault that will require replacing the phone -- since you can't exactly get a toothbrush in there to clean the contacts. :)

I just followed the instructions in this post and my Superuser icon/name looks like the *second* option at the bottom of the main post, not the third one - shouldn't it be the third?

I downloaded the files all directly from the links in the post... Droid 1 with FRG22D stock prior to doing this.

Thanks, let me know.

Please anyone out there, could you tell me where I can get a download such as Easy Root to root my brand new droid x running 2.2? It seems I have to root to recover my apps on my old sdcard using titanium? Please help and thank you furbearingmammal for your help..dick (tilly01)
