Root on Incredible 2

I just rooted...figured it out finally. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14693680

My reasoning is because I want to remove bloatware from VZW and have admin rights over my phone. ;-)

S-OFF is available as of two days ago. Consequently, full root is also now available.

The Windows method has bugs. Do an Ubuntu Live CD, run that and root from there. Works perfectly and takes maybe another fifteen minutes. And that time is spent in setting up the Ubuntu CD. It works great.

Yup, follow anguish's link. It will walk you through setting up a Live CD. Make sure to use the Live CD so you won't install any operating system on your computer. It will work just fine. I did it on mine. I had never dealt with Ubuntu before and it worked great.

Select the desktop download, then it will give you directions to walk you through the entire process, up to burning the CD and starting it.

The Linux method was flawless. I've heard the Windows option is working now. Rooted with absolutely no problem.
