Rooted d1 vs stock d2

You'll need to unroot it then do the reset. Hmmm...the apps on SD might work but I'm not 100%, never tried it.

Thanks. !!much apprecitaed. If I go through my applications and save the ones I want to sd ill have them on my sd card already when I put it into the new phone? AND FActory reset unroots the phone? Sorry for soo many questions

Get on a PC or use the browser on your phone to use the "multiple phones root them/unroot them" link in Spaz33g's signature.

I really don't think it will matter whether you're rooted or not, especially since the D1 is most likely out of warranty anyway.

Check the multiple phones link in my signature or pick up z4root. Those are the easiest methods imo. However before you root you might want to check what system update you're on and get it fully updated before you root it.

system version is 2.3.151. mb810 verizon.en.us

baseband version bp c 01.09.07p

does that tell me what version i have? i hit update and it appears that i have an update available, but i backed out of it.
 
Take that update. It should get you to 2.3.whatever and then you should be up to date.

Go ahead and install the update. If you want to use z4root, PM me your email and I'll send it to you.
